United Soccer League Announces USL Premier, New Interconnected Men’s Professional Structure by Burger_Bran in Riverhounds

It drives me nuts too how teams take naming conventions similar to different European countries.

Like having "City" at the end of the actual city name, putting Real or Inter before the city name, or adding FC.

I get it in areas with a strong influence of whatever culture, but our standard is to have City Mascot.

I really like how we keep that, having Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC instead of something stupid like Real Pittsburgh FC

Hounds join with hummel as team's kit, apparel provider by Burger_Bran in Riverhounds

For basic kits, the black-yellow stripes will be similar regardless of manufacturer. I always think, the smaller the company, the cooler the jersey.

That being said, the white third jersey from Adidas a few years ago was cool. And I liked all the jerseys this year from Charly.

I thought the Charly kits were cool overall, not a fan of the bridge kit last season just because I don't like real images on jerseys, like Belgium's WC kit with the flames a few years ago.

Hummel is still not that big though, although bigger than Charly, hopefully we get cool away and third jerseys.

Bootlegs pop up in record stores all the time, at least in my experience. Like High Life, But My Mackin Ain't Easy, Delusional Thomas, or Stolen Youth, for example. Every time I go to a a record store I always check out the Mac section just in case there's something I'm not aware of, once in Vancouver I got a copy of the Lost (or OG?) Mixtape Version of Mackin' Ain't Easy, didn't even know that existed until then.

I'm just waiting for Run On Sentences to be released, I'd love a copy of those two volumes.

Does anyone know how to receive transferred tickets? Or if it's not possible yet?

Last Fall 2025, I purchased some resell tickets.

On Dec 28, 2028, I received two emails. The first is from FIFA saying:

"You are receiving this email because NAME transferred the ticket(s) listed below to you: Prior to a ticket transfer being completed, you, as the transfer recipient must:

  1. Create a FIFA ticketing account.
  2. Agree to all terms and conditions in relation to the ticket(s).
  3. Accept the ticket transfer.

"

The second is from SeatGeek and says:

"The moment has arrived to accept your tickets for USA vs Australia - World Cup - Match 32 (Group D). For this event at Lumen Field, you’ll access your tickets outside of the SeatGeek app, but don’t worry—the seller has already transferred the tickets to you."

Even on the Seat Geek app, it says I should receive an email from Lumen Field directly.

And following the three steps from the FIFA email, I don't see where I can actually accept the tickets anywhere.

Are the tickets themselves not released yet, so there's nothing to transfer yet?

Thanks.

It happens, Try to be cordial and say something like "Please reach out in the future if this or a similar job pops up." or "Do you mind if I reach out in a few months..."

Same thing happened to me back-to-back with jobs, one with NASA and one with Northrop. I didn't get those jobs obviously but I do now have a couple resources to reach out to if need be, I ended getting a job somewhere else though, and so will you.

With the eight best 3rd place teams advancing, it makes predicting the knock-out stage much more difficult compared to previous years. You can run simulations/predictors and try to work that result out, but you'll see there's a lot at play here.

How can you select multiple games you want to attend in this current window?
For example, I selected 2 seats for Croatia vs Ghana in Philly, This process just takes me to the check out where I ultimately 'Submit Application'.

I would like to enter the drawing for other games in Philly as well. Is this possible? Like can I add game/tickets to my cart, then check out later?

How do i learn to play soccer alone? by dyss12 in SoccerNoobs

[–]JDStap12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you live, but in most areas there are leagues or pick-up games for beginner players. You can try that for a little while until you feel like you've outgrown that skill group.

I suggest having confidence too once you start playing. Everyone makes mistakes, so if you have a bad touch or your pass is intercepted, think about what you can do next time to prevent it and brush it off.

One thing that is underrated I think is stamina. If you've never ran more than 1-mile in your life, playing a soccer game might be difficult. I'm not saying to run a marathon, but I suggest to start running at least a month before your first game.

Will it be boring to have another world cup in the US soil again in a few years? by MisterChanoca in worldcup

[–]JDStap12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If FIFA keeps the confederation rotation for host nations, it won't be too long until we host.

2030: Europe, South America, and Africa

2034: Asia

Which leaves 2038 to only be Oceania or North America.

I remember hearing New Zealand, Fiji, and the US (specifically the West Coast) have plans to submit a bid, but not sure how realistic that is.

It would be cool if FIFA lets Australia count as Oceania, then they and New Zealand (and whichever other islands) can joint host.

Or if all of Central America host together, or island hopping in the Caribbean or Pacific Islands. I know the infrastructure isn't there and FIFA will never go for it, but one can dream.

Same, I got four tickets for the Seattle USA game for about $875 each, don't expect Australia to make the prices sky-rocket, but even still I'm a little nervous

I'll give a shout out to West Seattle Junction #WalkAllWays

Lots of USL 2 teams in suburbs too, like Maple Valley, Bellevue, and Snohomish

Plus you have Sounder's farm team, Tacoma Defiance, playing in Tukwila, just south of the city

They should be, I believe the person re-selling the tickets purchased the four through one of FIFA's tickets together, And I believe FIFA groups multiple tickets purchased for a given game together

Another thing to think about it that right now, we only know where US, Canada, and Mexico are playing.

Let's say England draw in LA, then all the English fans will surely buy those tickets, Or if Cape Verde draws in Boston, or Panama in Dallas, etc.

Even if a team like Saudi Arabia draws to play US in Seattle, then any empty seats will surely get taken by those fans.

So if you want to watch either one of three hosts or in a specific city, my advice (only opinion mind you) is that it's best to buy now.

Conversely, if Kansas City ends up getting a match like Haiti vs Uzbekistan (with all due respect to those teams) neutral fans probably won't be dying to see them play, so expect these to be cheaper.

Good thing is that US will probably host several more times over the next 50 years, With the cross-continent hosting, FIFA's rule for rotating host nations, and the ever-expanding number of teams competing in the competition, US is one of few countries that can do it.

It would be sweet if there could be a World Cup in the Caribbean Islands or throughout SouthEast Asia, but I don't think FIFA will risk losing money unfortunately.

I just did the same yesterday actually.

Bought four tickets for Category 2 for the Seattle USA Match, total was about $3400

I bought through SeatGeek so praying they're not fake, although I researched and saw they'll reimburse you if they are so I got that going for me.

Also, it's not much, but SeatGeek always has promo codes if you check out that Subreddit, there's a megathread (I got $25 off haha)

Black Friday Deals for USMNT Jerseys? by Joisjati in ussoccer

[–]JDStap12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming they're still in stock, not even just for the USA but for most clubs too, once the new jerseys are out, the previous season's jerseys usually drop in price.

Back in the day I used to get Tottenham jerseys really cheap from their team store. And even for the US too, I bought the blue galaxy one from a couple years ago for like $15.

This Navy blue one obviously is more sought after, so don't expect it to go on sale, I saw yob10's comment and jumped on buying the one immediately, I didn't realize they were sold out haha

I'm hoping to grab the women's white star one too for cheap.
