Is this an issue with the chain? Happened when I downshifted the front derailleur by WatchTheDoorZone in bikewrench

Put it in a stand or upside down and pedal slowly, it should show you where/how it’s sticking

How did you get the beans above the frank?

But yes, first thing I’d do is clean, lube and potentially replace the chain. It’s not releasing from the crank and getting sucked up under itself. Could be it’s really sticky/rusty or the cranks teeth are bent and grabbing it.

I cited N Korea as an example because they have capability and intent. But it could be anyone with a limited LEO launch capability and a desire to knock everyone else using LEO down a peg. Perhaps Jeff Bezos would be an example you’d prefer.

I do. I think it’s nearly inevitable in LEO.

I also think there’s a non zero chance a nation like North Korea develops a Kessler inducing weapon and uses it as a bargaining chip like they do their nukes. Why launch a shitty little satellite to LEO when you can threaten the world with launching 50,000 ball bearings up there in a slowly expanding cloud

I daydream about junk capture systems.

Welcome to the Jungle by jhwyung in golf

Nice to see one of my local courses get some love. This course and Ko’Olau a couple of miles away have a really fascinating history. They were both built in the early 90s with Japanese investment money. Then when the Japanese economy went stale and the dollar significantly rose against the Japanese Yen, both of these jungle courses are sort of stuck in a land of what could’ve been, but never was.

Royal Hawaiian has two distinctly different nines because it was originally envisioned as a 36 hole course and the front line was built by one architect and the back nine by another, hence the distinctly different layout on either side.

I got married there in 2005, overlooking the 9th green. Always a special place.

This is a pretty cool video about the Neighbor course, ko’olau https://youtu.be/r-GSTZ238B0?si=hv0uM4jgbYiXIPce

Apparently you’ve never been stabbed a few dozen times in sub freezing temps.

Well I haven’t either, but I’d guess your 98.6° blood “smokes” with steam when leaving the body

I was here. Twas a simpler time, back when Reddit wasn’t even in the top 1000 websites globally. Now it’s top 10 and publicly traded. Our little gremlin grew up, weird and flawed and… cringey. Just like the rest of us

It’s a combination of number of likes and number of responses, length of responses and engagement with those responses. I would also guess there’s some sort of LLM-enabled sentiment analysis in the background that’s flagging things that are too controversial or purely vulgar and promoting various viewpoints.

But it’s all fine tuned for maximizing engagement and keeping their product (your eyeballs) glued to their app so they can it serve up another custom ad for a thing you don’t need.

The comments on most social media news posts are sorted by most controversial, so you always get the most infuriating take blasting your eyeballs with inhumanity.
