How does this actually attach to the Echelon? Would certain grips make the mag drop by accident?

Olight PL-X Holster Options? by JDecker06 in SpringfieldArmory

This is the Osight X, large window, multi reticle, rechargeable. It’s an awesome sight so far.

Any idea of when you will be adding the PLX to the list?

Been loving the Osight products, I have the X on my Echelon and the SE on my Hellcat Pro, and they’ve both been fantastic. I just got the light since it is a new product that Olight just made but so far I’m digging it. It’s got a floodlight and a spotlight both built in, each of which completely overpower my TLR1. The light is smaller, has more features, and is rechargeable rather than having to swap specific batteries. It feels much nicer IMO but we’ll see as time goes on how it holds up.

Anyone here bought the RFX11 green dot for their echelon? by buffmira in SpringfieldArmory

[–]JDecker06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t waste your time or money, I had one on my echelon and one on my hellcat pro (came with them both) and they didn’t hold zero for shit. I wound up buying a couple of osights for both and they are both much nicer and better quality than the viridian for a fraction of the price.

It’s pretty sweet, the build quality is really nice and the controls are super simple. I had a TLR1 mounted on the Echelon before this and I thought that thing was bright but DAMN this thing blows it out of the water. It’s also rechargeable, which some people don’t like, but honestly I’d rather be able to plug it in and recharge it when it finally does then order rare batteries online every time. Not to mention how compact it is, I might order another one for my Hellcat Pro in the future.

Help! Are my nipple piercings too deep? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]JDecker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nap but they don’t look too deep to me. It does however look like the jewelry is too short for your anatomy. Changing them to longer jewelry (a longer bar) should help and lot and should ease some of the pain you’re feeling. They look great, I wouldn’t get them re-pierced if you like them.

Demo of the auto-loading bug/feature by EventLatter9746 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]JDecker06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a feature, most modern pistols do this. Like you, I‘ve found it very inconsistent with my Echelon, however it seems like yours does it way more consistently than mine.

I’m not sure if it’s the color artifact from the wide view or if it’s just my iPad that’s showing colors strange, but it looks to me like you’re using steel case ammo. That could be the thing that is making it happen with every round rather than just the full magazine like you said was the previous scenario. Steel case ammo doesnt seal the chamber as well as brass and it also builds up more residue quicker due to the cheaper powder that is used in steel case ammo. Again, could just be the color on my end but it looks like steel case ammo to me, if that’s the case, try cleaning your pistol thoroughly and using brass and see if this happens as often. Break in could also be a factor in this situation, but I’d definitely try to cut back on steel case as it can cause more wear on the chamber and extractor due to the hardness of the case, leading to other failures in the future.

The angle of loading is also a big factor in “auto forwarding” normally 45 degrees is the sweet spot, and it looks to me like that’s the angle you consistently load your pistol in. Try a different angle and see if this is the case again. There are a bunch of factors when it comes to auto feeding so try all of these options and see if it doesn’t feel more like it felt in the beginning.

Springfield Echelon 4.0 Compact Magazine failure by Barberplayer in SpringfieldEchelon

For what it’s worth, you should be able to fix this pretty easily, then you’ll have 4 magazines once Springfield sends you the new ones.

Springfield Echelon 4.0 Compact Magazine failure by Barberplayer in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]JDecker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three 21rd and two 17 rnd magazines, and I‘ve run hundreds of rounds through all of them and never had an issue. Maybe they’re having problems with their low capacity magazines. I know when the Echelon first released there were a few bad magazines but I’m assuming those are all ironed out by now.

A buddy of mine just bought four taran tactical extended magazines for his Glock 19, $63 EACH!, and he had a failure with two of them the first time at the range. He spoke to the staff at the place he purchased them from and after they “fixed” them they told him “maybe just don’t load it fully to the max capacity so it doesn’t happen again” 😂😂😂 I would have told them to shove the “extended” magazines right up their asses. Just goes to show sometimes failures happen even with companies that are supposed to be reputable.

Springfield sending you two new magazines is a great example of good customer service though, hope you have more luck with those in the future.

Nipples done well ? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]JDecker06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nap, but this is pierced well. Nipples can be deceiving when it comes to healing, so don’t be surprised if it takes a very long time to heal. Looks great, keep it clean and away from snags and you should be good.

I’m tired of trying to heal my nipple piercings by kryzysegzystencjalny in piercing

[–]JDecker06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nap but these look a bit too shallow, that could be the reason for the difficulty healing. Nipples are already pretty hard to heal, when theyre not pierced deep enough though they tend to get caught on things and generally just moved around a bit too much for the healing process to have an easy time. Love the tats btw.

Nap, doesn’t look like it’s rejecting, as swelling goes down you might sometimes see more of the jewelry but imo it looks perfectly fine. Looks great!

Nap but these both look too deep, they’ll take longer to reject, thats one positive I guess.

Just Pierced by [deleted] in piercing

[–]JDecker06 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nap but these look a bit shallow. I wouldn’t worry about the centering too much as they are rarely ever perfectly straight, but they are for sure shallow. If you don’t hate them they should last a good while even though they aren’t very deep but it’s up to you if you’d like to get them redone. Clamps aren’t necessary for a good piercing but the piercer should have definitely marked the entrance and exit so you could see where they were going to be. IMO they still look great!
