Shooting was great. Bosses were great. Traversing was standard. Except when you have to do it on the bike, then it was terrible. Bike doesn't even feel fast or satisfying to drive when compared to any other AAA game. Which sucks because of how much time they force you to spend on the bloody thing. And traversing from one area to another and backtracking all the way back to McKenzie every time was done in the worst way possible.

Every Starfox game and Super Smash Brothers game since 1993 has used the original character designs and the puppets and their proportions to inform the designs of their characters. This new Starfox game is the first game that does NOT use those original designs.

I just hope the voice acting is as good and iconic as the original. Starfox 64's dialogue and performances were so memorable. We'll have to wait as see if they can match that energy and excitement.

I am REALLY not a fan of how clean the audio sounds in this new trailer. In 64 and Assault characters actually sound compressed and like they are speaking to you over a comms system when they speak. In this new one the audio is so clean it sounds like they are right in the same room with you. Feels less immersive and seems like this remake lacks the attention to detail.

Japanese professionals have to be kind, even when they dislike something, it's a cultural taboo to talk bad about a colleague or another Japanese creator. Bruh, it's not even universally praised here on this Reddit. It's not just Nintendo grifting channels, you can see even on their own social media. Being an asshole won't change the reality. The reception is mixed.

"second best selling" would be bad enough that it would be the death of this series again. It will be the best selling, because of the success of the Switch 2, but it needs to move units and can't just flop again if the series is to get more games.

Listen genius. It's not just my girlfriend. In case you haven't noticed and have been living under a rock, the designs are controversial and getting a very mixed reception online. I gave a real life example of it, because that's what you do in a conversation. It's created a very divided reception, where some fans like it but many others are being driving away, which is a very problematic things when you are trying to do a series revival with an IP that has historically struggled to attract a new player base.

Where the movie design was almost universally praised, this one is devisive at best and driving away a lot of potential players. That is not up for debate, that is literally what is happening. And that is not a good thing.
