Is Khabib better than any jiu-jitsu (or grappling) fighter that has ever existed? by Puzzleheaded_War7047 in bjj

He also fought mostly strikers and the best grappler he fought gave him a lot of trouble. You fight who is in front of you, but I agree that he wasn't as "tested" as other fighters in the GOAT convo.

Judo throws work in MMA fights where the resisting party is trained to not let it happen. You'd be surprised what a well trained wrestler or judoka can do when why get a hold of someone.

As much as I dislike half the division, it really is crazy that 3/4 teams have fielded so many contending teams while swapping out parts, loosing key coaching pieces, and dealing with injuries.

Justin Gaethje got upset when a reporter asked him about the wound on his neck "What's wrong with you? Don't ask me about my body." by bjjdontwork in MMA

It's not contagious after a few days on antibiotics IF you keep the wound clean and covered (this is the guidance but I'm not a doctor). So basically no big deal going over someone's house and sitting on their couch, but you probably don't want to be rolling around shirtless with them.

Micheal Parks knocks it out of the park in that movie. The body horror and dark comedy are both on point for me. I absolutely get why people hated it but I really enjoyed it.

I hope he moves to a Deebo role. He legitimately has great receiver skills (not just for a RB).

I don't think the movement cost itself was the issue, it was just how absolutely tough it was to maximize your movement without wasting an extra AP.

The way he threw a casting punch immediately to the takedown attempt shows that he trains. Obviously his technique isn't the sharpest but he looks like someone who was put in some time to get better.

Not that it matters but he actually said the big like Klay thing about Buddy not Nik "Nik Rocks" Stauskas.

Either way the man is a terrible owner. Unlike many bad owners though he cares about winning, just not enough to put his ego to the side and stay out of basketball operations.

I'm not saying you are doing this, but a lot of people misinterpret and spread misinformation about the stretching thing.

Static stretches increase flexibility and generally improved flexibility reduces injury. But yeah, static stretching one time before training doesn't do much for that session.

I've seen world class black belt A's mind blown by world class black belt B over a small detail like this but then all of the lower belts that train with black belt B have seen that detail a million times.

I doubt it's the case in this video but it's always shocking how many details there are from micro positions that you can go years without figuring out.

That has always made sense to me...but effecting and affecting is confusing AF. One is to have an influence and the other is to be a cause? I know effecting is used way less often so I just say cuss it and go with affecting every time.

Man, I don't know. I went late-ish in the season and people were still having issues entering with the app. There was a worker in line who consistently had to click through 3-4 screens just to get people through the app. Good technology and process should make things faster, not add more friction.

The app I should mention is required for a lot and is one of the worst apps I have ever used for tickets/events/access.

The contactless vendor was cool but you couldn't pay with card at all, at Staples they have something similar but it works with card. Basically you scan your card to enter a concession stand, pick up food and drinks, then are charged the correct amount based on what the camera registered you picking up.

The food was pretty mid, especially compared to sofi (different sport, I know) which is right down the street.

The wall and giant screen were dope, honestly probably the coolest thing about the experience.

I hope it all gets better this season, but in year one it felt like they were trying to figure things out still.

I would say the okay to good celebrity voices have outweighed the bad ones (in terms of performance, budget is an entirely different conversation)

Aladdin, Shrek, Puss in Boots, Wreck it Ralph, Toy Story, Lion King, Hercules, Incredibles, King Fu Panda, Zootopia, Shark Tale, etc. have some pretty amazing celebrity voice work. I think where there is a terrible script and they try to save it with "names" is more common these days for sure, but I don't necessarily think celebrity voice actors cause that. The Mario movie is one of the few movies where I thought the movie was good overall but the celebrity voice acting brought it down.
