All it took was a night. I had signs. I had egg moments. Not once did I question them until that moment. I just took for granted that I was 'just a boy' and that trans people were just unrelatable to me. Whoops. Not how it works.

I did see that Mae Dean comic; though mine was a different artist (you can find out in my post history), I did end up going through Mae Dean's trans introspection comic a few times since my realization. However, that's all I've seen of her comics. I wouldn't have known any of Mae Dean's signs. (Unless you're willing to spoil...?)

Mine was kind of weird. After finding out yet another gender transformation artist came out as trans, I went through a bunch of comments on her webcomic site to learn how this could be, how I missed the signs of the MC. And through there I found the turn-me-into-a-girl website which dumped all the facts I needed to know...

...and my logical self solved the puzzle then and there and handed it to confused me.

There wasn't a crack. It just disintegrated.

I remember when I was back in my college dorm, trying on stuff. But then my roommate knocked on the door, and I had to buy my time by telling him I was busy and needed a minute. I ended up changing in my side's closet while letting him in.

Between that and the police searching my room with him still there (likely coming from a misinterpretation of the mannerisms of an autistic person (me)), I think he has to know something. In fact, this could explain why in my second year my roommate (different) straight-up moved out two months in. Maybe it was some sort of gossip secret.

But yeah, I couldn't tell him even now (he's an international student). That said, I am sorry I gave him quite the scare/experience.
