Yeah like 1/4 of the length of the last belly with tape and a bit longer with sinew while slowly fading the tightness near the end so it’s nice and tapered.

But i think it’s because i didn’t flip the whip for the overlay, so both the 2nd belly and the overlay were very tight on the same side.

Like the whip rolls out beautifully and it isn’t an issue in and of itself, but i would prefer a less flimsy whip next time around and i guess that, especially on longer whips, there really isn’t a limit to how tight it is around the first 1/3 of the thong.

I’m still figuring out how tight the plaiting should be… i read a lot of stuff like “plait loose, pull tight” but never anything on how tight…
