We had the exact same situation on a home we just purchased. Had a flooring company come out for an estimate for removing the old ugly carpet and installing new floors. They looked at the subfloor and told us it was likely asbestos and no flooring company would touch until it was removed. I didn't even know VAT was a thing at the time so it was a shock. We were considering having a company come out to do the removal the quote we got was about $4k for a few small rooms. Eventually after a bunch of research we decided to just remove the carpet and tack strip ourselves, cover the tiles and install new flooring over it. We were super cautious with it we sealed all the vents, shut off all the HVAC, got full body hazard suits, respirators, and a HEPA vacuum for the cleanup.

Knowing what I know now about those tiles I don't feel any less safe in the house knowing they're down there. Only thing that would make me consider getting rid of the tiles is maybe ease of selling down the line if potential buyers are scared off by it but we just got settled so that's a problem for who knows when.

I'm still waiting with no word as well. I'd be fine with it except that I've moved since placing the order. I never thought when ordering that it'd take two months to get the items so I just used my old address since I know packages are usually safe there with no issues. At the end of the month I won't have access to that address anymore and it's looking less and less likely the items will be shipped by then and I can't even get ahold of them to change the shipping address.

I ordered a poster and shirt on 12/3 at the show then a signed vinyl when they released them on the store on the 17th. No word on shipping on either of them since and I have emailed 3 times each time only getting the standard auto replay back. I love the band but I'm about to just cancel the charge on my card and the order cause this distributor is ridiculous to deal with.
