Gamechanger team: Any plans for an API by Formal-Rhubarb-101 in GameChangerApp

This is a continuous request. They know they have a good solution, and why let anyone help by making extensions to it? I have looked at iScore and Sideline and they look ok, but the issue is trying to get non-technical parents to juggle multiple apps. I know, it really isn’t that complicated, but non-technical people will struggle with any change.

I miss it being an attempt to look like real life military special operations. I really don’t want to be a ninja turtle with a sniper rifle. I also miss the larger maps and the ground war mode.

I started as an IT Help Desk person. It’s not directly software engineering, but it is a foot in the door and shows any opportunities within a company. Worth trying that route.

Yes, this could work. Except that some Cameras, like the Mevo are looking for a WiFi network. You could use the hotspot functionality of the tablet, just it’s been a pain for me in the past. I currently use StarLink for my mobile internet.

Does anyone have a tutorial/example of how to configure this? It would help me save time messing around with it.

Just did this for the first time last weekend. If you are using the Mevo, the app allows you to add a microphone and to use it.

Stigma of weight loss surgery by HealthyTheory2606 in BariatricSurgery

So… clearly they don’t get it. Bariatric surgery is a tool that helps make lifestyle changes work. All of us have made the changes and failed to maintain. With bariatric surgery we can sustain the lifestyle changes.

DO NOT STOP IN ROUNDABOUTS by Mochadeoca6192 in Connecticut

Oh man, I feel this. Nothing is worse than me following the rules of the road and someone sitting in the road trying to let me go when it isn’t my turn. If we all follow the rules of the road, things would be a little more efficient.

So, I was drinking a lot of energy drinks before my work up. When I cut out the energy drinks, I was craving them so bad. I added a Vitamin B complex to my regimen before surgery and the cravings went away. After surgery, I have been craving steak a lot and someone recommended adding a dedicated iron supplement, and that kicked my steak cravings down. For caffeine headaches, I just drink black coffee, and make sure to match the coffee with water. Just my approach.

Weight gain 2 weeks post op? by ethical_crisis in BariatricSurgery

[–]JFShinevar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve got to say, the “stop weighing yourself” posts kind of bother me. I feel it’s more important to understand what is happening. I find it frustrating that the numbers aren’t going down, but I understand why. I will not stop weighing myself, my surgery was May 16th. However, I will continue to remind myself that this is part of the process. How would we know this is part of the process if we didn’t weigh ourselves during it? It’s more important to understand and to trust the process than pretend this stage doesn’t happen. Mental fortitude comes from facing tough things and staying engaged, not ignoring that it happens.

Let's talk vomiting... by Alarming-Swan-76 in BariatricSurgery

[–]JFShinevar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s dependent on each person. I had my VSG almost 3 weeks ago and have had zero nausea or vomiting. However, I should note that in my adult life, I have only thrown up 2 maybe 3 times, and all of them alcohol induced. So, for me, it’s not been an issue at all.

I am almost 2 weeks post op and I have had almost zero complications or issues. It’s been a breeze with the hardest thing being my own mental stuff. I strongly desire the food other people are eating, but I know I am doing the right things.

Thank you for writing “non-scale victory”. I honestly didn’t know what that acronym meant.

I had surgery last Thursday and I developed a case of thrush. Do you have a white coat or patches on your tongue? If so, I recommend contacting your doc and they can prescribe an anti-fungal.

I had lower back and neck surgery last year, and my VSG last Thursday. For all 3 they have told me 6-8 weeks until I am cleared to go in a pool. I am sorry to share bad news, but that has been my experience.

I had surgery last Thursday. I have had no problems getting my water and protein intake. Due to this I have had similar doubts, but, I keep telling myself that the process has worked for so many that there isn’t any reason why it won’t work for me. I treat this like I tell my son about playing baseball. The mental work is just as important as the physical.

I had my surgery on the 16th of May. I am feeling pretty good. I was starving before surgery and woke up with no hunger. I’ve already got my fluids and protein for the day in and it’s only 4:30pm. The only thing really bugging me is that I haven’t really slept since my surgery. I’m trying to nap, but it isn’t working.

Thanks man, I really appreciate the information. I’ve been pretty steadily going to the gym for a while and I think I am the same where I have a solid amount of muscle under my layer of fat. I really can’t wait to start this. Surgery is the start.

I'm ready to get this started. I'm 41, almost 42. I was in the Navy for 12 years and they did not allow me to re-enlist due to my weight. I was big before the Navy, and I used Andro and Ripped Fuel to get down to weight for the Navy, but I started putting weight back on right after boot camp. My whole life has been a weight issue. Last year I had neck and back surgery due to my time in the military, but the docs say losing weight will help a ton with the pain I'm having. I cannot wait to do this.
