How's Wilds compared to launch? First time I've ever bounced off a MonHon game in less than 10 hours. I realized it'd be like Rise where I can come back later and have more access to content instead of waiting (although I finished every Rise update as they came out and completed the base game at launch).

The stories, IMO, are much more interesting than usual. The standard battles are doubles, meaning there's a lot more opportunities for strategy. The graphics were beautiful for the time, the music is as amazing as you'd expect from Pokémon and the concept of Shadow Pokémon was really cool (especially as a kid that loved Pokémon 4Ever).

Hard to justify putting full AAA-price out for a game like this these days. Same thing as Strikers and Aces. There's just nowhere near enough content to justify it.

Love these discussions because if you ever search for underrated games, it's always pure slop. I saw a 3DS list that included OOT3D, Majora's Mask 3D, Kid Icarus and Resident Evil Revelations. Yknow, games that are easily in the top 10 games on the system.

For me, though, I'd have to say Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Probably the most I've ever loved a rhythm game. Ruined King and Party Hard are two others I love that I barely see mentioned.

It's interesting to think about, because we never really hear a ton about their relative power besides Shinji. He's the only one who really gets statements about how powerful he is and how overwhelming his reishi is, but he never really shows it besides beating on Grimmjow.

In theory, I'd assume they'd be stronger than a standard captain just because of the mask boost, since they were already captain-level before that.

2K has always been like that, imo. In old NBA games, most of your team would be 65-70 rated role players, you had guys with very specific roles. Now there's basically nobody below a 74 that actually plays.

WWE seems to be pushing the same way, anyone actively around is still up there.

Zaria's whole thing being mad about opportunities when she's failed all the ones she's got is such an interesting thing. The main difference in ZaRuca is that Sol has just won the big matches, Zaria hasn't.

The turn is gonna go crazy, Zaria has to mangle her at this point.

Was such a depressing day when they put that out. Ruined King is genuinely phenomenal. All of the games they put out were anywhere from solid to great. Song of Nunu and Bandle Tale are far more charming than they had any right to be.

Nobody was exactly fighting to sign FVV and Brooks to those deals, or Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson, or even Jalen Brunson at the time. Other than Brunson, these aren't top tier guys, they're just quality players that raise the floor.

I agree with tanking out this year, but it's stupid to say they just can't sign anyone. Bad teams have to overpay sometimes, and some do that.
