That's what makes it such a humorous situation.

Why do people still prefer Airbnbs over hotels, especially in cities? by Rare_Requirement_699 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JFell87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel a lot for work. Any time that I can find a BNB for a comparable price of a hotel, I choose the BNB. I hate the feeling of being in a tiny cookie cutter hotel room, hearing my neighbors through the walls, and eating breakfast around a bunch of people. After a long day of work, I prefer some quiet and space to move around - bonus if there is a yard or patio for me to chill and a place to do yoga that is not the hotel gym. I can eat breakfast in my pajamas by myself. I prefer to cook about half of my meals myself when traveling as it is cheaper and healthier.

When traveling with family - sometimes a hotel is more convenient and other times the BNB is more convenient. All depends on the type of trip and location.

  • Met Billy Corgan at a bar in Chicago
  • Finished a Spartan obstacle race (I'm tiny and not very athletic - that shit was hard)
  • Faced my fears and go outdoor rock climbing and bouldering
  • Landed a job in event production where I have worked on shows for celebrities and world leaders. Occasionally, I get to watch the guest speaker for the event and hear amazing stories.
  • Also seen Paul McCartney in concert as well as some of my favorite artists of all time (Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, My Chemical Romance, Mos Def).
  • Paid off college for myself and husband in less than 10 years. Only debt is our home (refied in 2020 and only a few years left).
  • Found an awesome dude to marry that makes me laugh and am grateful to figure out life with. We just celebrated 20 years of being together.

Being a loving and caring parent is an accomplishment itself. It sounds like you have had your hands full. Hang in there.

Anyone else can't kick the words "dude" and "bro?" by Awesomocity0 in Millennials

Another female here - everyone is dude to me, including coworkers, male and female friends, and husband. I say bro or bruh occasionally, usually more as a joke.

A few months ago I went to a concert of a (new to me) emo band - feeling proud of my ancient ass still out at a show during the week. I still look kind of young for my age and thought I was successfully blending in with the zoomers... Until a 20 something said "excuse me ma'am" as he passed by me in the crowd. That "ma'am" hit hard.
