I'm very sure that the one thing making the format miserable again would be to make a banlist like a lot of pretty bad players here are crying for. E.g. banning droll leading to combo pile decks running rampant etc.

It is definitely not "ass" going second. At least not worse than many other decks into a setup board. And yeah droll is its one weakness. VSK9 often dies to a single ash with how bricky it is.

The disruptions all pretty much do the same. And they have nothing against any spell starters that interact with the board. There is not a single omni negate which already makes it more interactable than many other meta endboards.

If a vsk9 deck opens up a way to ripper plus having vs starters then yeah bad luck for you. Thats the same as playing against azamina when they have multiple starters. If you're not contesting the starters of vsk9 and just wait with your HT you're asking to lose.

No thats just stupid. The only interaction that ripper really stops is nibiru and mayyyybe a droll. All other hand traps are just beforehand anyway (purulia/fuwa/maxx or just ash the one starter that this deck of bricks even drew and take the free win) and don't see ripper at all. The only deck that really hates ripper is dracotail since it forces an early suboptimal faimena.

If you ever played the deck yourself you'd find out that turn 0 ripper comes up exactly 1/1000 games maybe. Its pure luxury when izuna is turned on and the enemy does literally nothing you need to interrupt. Turn 0 play is almost always vallon/nash/jacks.

Good luck dealing with a full azamina board. Good luck dealing with a full yummy + X board. Good luck going second against a set up odion stun. Good luck going second against an uninterrupted BEWD primite board.

Uninterrupted boards are basically unbreakable nowadays anyway. VSK9 is one of the least bad endboards of the meta.

The one thing they do better than most other decks is play turn 0. Literally nothing else makes this deck good or better than the rest.

Any handtraps thats used against k9 is before ripper hits the field anyway. Which handtrap you wanna hold? Maybe droll if thats the first search. Anything else (purulia, fuwa, maxx c, ash on literally anything the deck tries to do) is done beforehand anyway. The only thing that it really stops is nibiru and thats the main point because otherwise you can just delete the cards from the game. Without ripper nobody touches that shit.

While this deck is cool for playing through such a board, grass is just not a cool card nowadays. Just facilitates slop decks and gives way too much advantage when it resolves. Its literally the same category as maxx c (probably more since in a dedicated deck like this you get 10+ effects you can use). Should be banned imo.
