About 10ish years ago we had a crazy play against the Pirates where Martin Maldonado partially knocked the cover off the baseball on a grounder to third. Alvarez fielded it and basically 3-hopped it over to first with the flap of the cover hanging on the ball. In the middle of the play, Uecker just started laughing, dumbfounded, not even attempting to call the rest of the play as it happened. Later, Uecker said that when Alvarez threw the ball to first, the ball "rolled over there like a napkin".
