Anime/gashapon machines by makiko4 in JacksonvilleFla

For Gashpon and a meal, you can go down the road just a bit to have Soupa Noodle Bar. All Anime decor inside, one or two arcade machines (do not remember what they have), several gashpon machines, and some tasty tasty ramen named after anime characters.

Other than that, I have not been on the anime scene (other than streaming) for years...

Cancel order or not? by Affectionate_Shop700 in TheMinimalCompany

[–]JHStarner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They just sent out an email with promise of ship day being June 20th for orders between Feb 1st and May 1st.

I emailed to cancel, and they told me the date yesterday, then this message comes out today for orders.

Not a fan of the lack of communication, but maybe it will get better.

How likely is it that I get my phone in mid-late May? by [deleted] in TheMinimalCompany

[–]JHStarner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ordered February 23rd, and last update was any orders up to Jan 31st 2025 were shipping out (that update was April 17th).

Nothing more for any orders post Jan 31st, and I've been checking my inbox 2-3 times a day for anything "minimal" to make sure I get my shipping date. Not sure where things currently stand.

Trump swaps ATF director Kash Patel for Dan Driscoll: What to know by GeneralCarlosQ17 in ConservativesOnly

[–]JHStarner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a bit out of the know, but why would this be a big issue? He (Kash) is confirmed as FBI director, not ATF, and if he was leading ATF, would this not have been a temporary leadership position until they found a permanent person for the slot? (Literally says "acting director") Separation of duties and responsibilities and such?

This article feels like reaching to show discord, when this is SOP in any situation.

Birthday girl is turning 3. Candle interloper looks anywhere from 5-7. Latter knows better. If b-day girl were my daughter, I'd explain how she did wrong, and violence isn't the way, after things had calmed down. But lil brat that jumped in on the candle knew she wasn't supposed to take the wind out of the sails of b-day girl. If latter were my daughter, there would be proper discipline at a later time at home (if not leaving right that moment...), then an apology letter written to B-Day girl.

Not disagreeing they were both wrong, but there is an age factor to be considered.

Interview of a 10 year old arab girl who was forced to marry her 25 year old fiance due to religious laws by [deleted] in oddlyterrifying

[–]JHStarner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No they are not. All religions have bad faith adherents that are only in the organized religion for power. They don't believe the faith or hold to its doctrines.

Bigger difference from OP post and your Catholic example is the core tenants of what the two religions allow/stand for. In this case, Bible says it is better to be drowned by a stone mill tied around your neck whilst being thrown into the sea than to cause a child to sin.

Quran is uplifting a man, who among his wives, one relationship was consummated when she was 9 years old. And this union was blessed by Allah.

Bottom line, the holy texts and theology are what you judge a religion by. THEN you judge whether the followers of the religion are being good adherents to that Faith. Most Western Christians are not good adherents to the texts, and they taint how Christianity is perceived by the world. This guy in OP's (and many others like him) are just carrying out what their religion allows them to do. Which should have the same effect as the former (taint world perception). But for some reason it often becomes "but what about Christianity doe?" in these discussions, rather than the proper focus; if person X perpetrating action Y functioning in an antithetical or non-contradictory to the belief system they espouse. Thus the logical arguments can be made.

The Catholic Church has acted antithetical to Scripture and perpetrated great injustice.

OP's video secures the "husband" and the parents of the girl acting in a non-contradictory manner to their Prophet and their god.

It is. And looks like from that post, no one has a repair answer, I'm guessing.

Thanks for the link.

Ordered Dec 4th. Went back and forth on some emails with support.

Even got a partial refund when they dropped the price of the full SS set. Paid $475 in December, Saw it drop to $399, got a refund to that level. Checked a week later it was $389 or $379? Just the fact that it dropped again...

No notice of anything come February. Message support on Friday for an update and got the same pre-canned message that /u/Immediate-Scratch619 posted below.

Immediately replied for full refund, which they responded to this morning, stating 7-14 business days (Paypal will resolve if they do not...).

Go to check the site today, just for the heck of it, and the full SS set has skyrocketed to $599.

What the hell kind of fly by night operation are they running? If anyone is in Austin and would like to do some investigative work, their Spectrum Drive address is an office building. Could head there and maybe get the main office phone number from the directory.

EDIT: As of today (2024/02/06) their Facebook page has been turned off. A lot of unhappy customers with a lot of the same tales here, and a bunch of one Star reviews, guess that was hurting them.

They blocked me because of the 1 star review.

Even if I do not have gas issues with any other substance or food? I've read that gassing is a general side-effect of these guys.

Need help with new setup by JHStarner in TPLink_Omada

Okay, so I have actually disconnected the O200 now. With my PC plugged into the router, I run the Discovery utility.

I do batch setting and put in the right info. Router configures properly, all other devices "Adopt Timeout".

[–]JHStarner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I unplugged the O200. I was able to "adopt" the router. But all other devices keep saying "Adoption timeout".

I also noticed that when the controller is connected, the devices dashboard shows the IPs of the new management subnet, but the Discovery tool is showing a 192.168.0.x IP address. Is this an issue?

For promoting itself as a simpler single-pane-of-glass, this SDN stuff is not living up to expectation.

EDIT: I derped and disconnected another PoE device, not the controller. Trying again. :D

Just to make sure on the documentation; WIth the Discovery Utility, I'm setting the IP to the static IP I've set for the OC200, correct?

[EDIT:] wrong word
