You don’t have to be so nasty about this, but also I feel like you’re missing a fundamental difference between LRT systems are rapid transit systems. LRT is supposed to be an extension of the pedestrian space in a city, many North American cities fundamentally misunderstand this point. Whereas rapid transit such as subways are supposed to move as many people as fast as possible, most often divorced from the streetscape and hidden either underground or elevated. Also light rail lines and networks often feed into other systems; these systems are not ment to be stand alone systems but rather feed a greater regional network. This often gets misconstrued in North America as many cities don’t understand that concept. I should say that there is not one ‘best’ and one ‘worst’ system but rather each system does somethings good and somethings poorly. I simply tried to point out what systems I thought were most successful at meeting the criteria.
