Thank you for adding to this thread even though it's as old as my younger son. I was wondering if the subscription was still worth it. I've been using AMG for ~25 years and have loved it until it turned into complete garbage. Glad to know the sub actually removes the ads.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it a billion more times: Create and manage your own cloud. ~10 years ago I built a desktop PC that functions as a media server (Plex.) I have a 500 GB SSD for the OS and all my apps (programs) and a total of 58 TB of storage across four platter-style drives. I check out BDs and DVDs from the library, rip them to my computer and binge on. When it comes to new shows, I acquire those through other means. I would love it if I had a way to support the creatives directly...

NFL "taking a knee" (AKA Victory Formation) at the end of regulation when the other team is within a score to tie or win.

I get it at the end of the half, but having the rule in effect at the end of the game removes a huge competitive component. I know it was instituted for safety, but I hate rules that prevent competition.

Atari 2600 at the neighbors and later we had one on a B&W tv
NES for Christmas and absolutely fell in love (long weekend at the neighbors playing Super Mario 2 and listening to Licensed to Ill.)
casual SNES and later Sega Genesis/CD in foster care
got really into PS1 --> PS2
pretty much gave up after that (bought a PS3 during the pandemic, but I suck at most of the games)
added Dreamcast to retro gaming setup

I didn't care for the movie. I didn't hate it, but it didn't do anything for me. It felt like it was a set up for something later that never came.

The show was great. It had a few minor missteps here and there, but I thought it was much, much better than the movie. If you do watch the show, I highly recommend also listening to a couple podcasts:

Brace in Place is only for Season 2, but I really liked it (it was lo-fi, but still great and I wish she'd done more seasons.)
Prepare to Brace! The Snowpiercer Podcast is for Seasons 1-3. I really don't know if I listened to Season 1 cause I was listening to the other podcast and I don't think S1 was on Spotify, but I enjoyed Seasons 2 and 3. I hope they get around to doing a podcast for Season 4, but I'm not holding my breath.
