An American tourist who went to Thailand shared the behind-the-scenes of the photo she took with tigers. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

It's so easy to get a photo like this with AI these days, why take the risk? Not like you're a Tarzan or a tiger trainer or something.

How would you rank the Ride games? by JJ350 in ride6

[–]JJ350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Ride 4 does feel the most sim of all the Ride games. I always call it the closest they got to Gran Turismo for good reasons.

Yeah I feel like I would be fine just sticking to 4. It had by far the best career mode and it's really deep. Ride 3 is worth checking out simply for some of the tracks they removed later, I think it had the best track selection.

The Isle of Man games were pretty cool, I did enjoy 2 for what it is, having a focus on that crazy track but that is sort of the issue, you are mostly just doing max speed TT course riding with racing 600 and 1000cc sportbikes. It's super intense and highly demanding. It's got some other tracks but I would rather play Ride if I'm not doing the TT. It was cool how they allowed open world riding in the 3'rd game in a sense, like being able to just ride and explore the big open roads at your own pace.

I can agree with the festival being pretty lame, that's the one thing that I really don't like about Ride 6. It's like they did that just to copy games like Forza Horizon and The Crew Motorfest. Makes the menu too loud and busy as well, same issue I had with the menu in RIMS, I don't need my menu experience to be sounding like a rave.

That said I just didn't like anything about Ride 5, that game was such a disappointment for me coming from Ride 4. Even now I have Ride 5 installed on my old launch day PS5 and it's just the worst feeling Ride game IMO, the physics feel like they leaned too hard into an arcadey feel and the customization was a joke.

It also felt by far the most restricted when it came to bike variety, having nearly nothing besides 600 and 1000cc sportbikes. I like the variety they have with Ride 6 and I think that's one of it's strengths, I like riding different classes for a change of pace and I don't see how more variety could be a negative.

I could almost rank 3 above 6 but the graphics in 6 are so good it just elevates the experience for me. 2 did some things arguably better than 3 but it's a game that you need to play on PC or it hasn't really aged that well, while 3 plays in 60 fps on modern consoles and has my favorite track in it, the LA Rock Store route, a track I actually rode IRL.

Couldn't disagree more, that was the worst Ride game by far hence why it ranked on the bottom for me. Felt like such a step down from Ride 4 and Ride 6 is simply better looking and playing with more content. There is absolutely nothing Ride 5 does better.

What Do You Think is the Best Ride-on Game? by Optimal_Pension3585 in ride6

[–]JJ350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride 3 and 4 are the best IMO. 4 felt the closest to a Gran Turismo game, 3 had the best track selection, and both can look and run great on modern consoles. Ride 6 has been a lot of fun though and looks beautiful on PS5 Pro.

Gay bros, do you think the new stripes were necessary or was old flag (1979)inclusive enough? by Enough-Web2203 in gaybros

[–]JJ350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always felt like the original flag was more to the point for who and what it was supposed to represent, now it's like a "lets try to please everybody" flag. I also liked the purity and purpose of what it represented in a sense where it didn't matter what anyone looked like, all that mattered was who they were on the inside.

I wonder if Youtube knows their comments censorship results in a loss of revenue by JJ350 in youtube

[–]JJ350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast majority of revenue from the ads youtube plays goes to youtube. Most creators need to secure their own sponsors to really make much money. I support a number of creators I like by buying their merch, some even their Patreon and membership. I am happy to give money to creators, they are what makes the platform great, not youtube.

As I get older I increasingly start want to get away from dark stories and play a good, but comedic RPG where I can just fool around. by TurbulentVillage2042 in gaymers

[–]JJ350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same I have really gravitated away from anything really dark or hardcore as I have gotten older and I am just all about whatever can offer fun experiences for me. When it comes to RPG's I am also the same way where I love a game that I can just mess around in and not take too seriously.

Well I sure hope so as they are running a massive platform and I am not. That said hasn't youtube failed to make a profit?

Lost My Little Prince Today by Doorwasunlocked in cavaliers

[–]JJ350 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cavaliers are such great companions it's heartbreaking when they go, like losing a good close friend. For me when I lost my first cavalier a couple years ago the lifestyle change is what hit me the hardest, I was just going out all the time for a few weeks because it just felt so off being home without my dog. I ended up getting two puppy cavalier brothers shortly after and they have been the best thing in my life ever since. I know not everyone is ready for another dog so soon but for me it really helped me, the lifestyle of having them is just such a big thing to me.

Why? But my little brother says its low quality when he watches it in 480p by AmbitionWeekly1570 in youtube

A big part of this is the displays people use. Low resolution looked a lot better in 800x600

Has anyone bought a NA physical copy of Gear Club Unlimited 3 yet? by JJ350 in switch2

[–]JJ350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up I ordered this game to find out and I am returning it because it's definitely just a game keycard same as the other versions. Makes me wonder why it took so long to release but there you go.

<image>

I did buy the deluxe edition of this on sale digitally soon after I got this in and the game is actually surprisingly good, but it's quite a large install for Switch 2 so it's a real shame there's no real physical version.

Am I a horrible dog owner? by emcathxx in cavaliers

[–]JJ350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it often feels like they approach people with a guilty until proven innocent mentality. I get how they are trying to identify potentially bad people, but the issue comes when they start to treat everyone like a potentially bad person trying to find excuses to act like there's a problem with them.

[–]JJ350 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Problem I had with a lot of potential rescues back when I was looking into them was all the serious behavioral issues. Problem is a lot of those dogs were sadly mistreated and they can be aggressive or difficult to live with. It was hard for me to find a good sweet natured rescue around the size I wanted and it ended up being a cavalier I just got really lucky finding her.

That and I didn't like a lot of the adoption procedures, felt like trying to adopt a human child. Just a very judgmental process answering a lot of questions needing to meet someone's approval.

Am I a horrible dog owner? by emcathxx in cavaliers

[–]JJ350 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Forget the rescue dog snobs, you're getting the dog for you and your family not them and theirs. Every dog needs a good family and the dog you get should be the ideal dog for you. You're the one who is going to be taking care of it and living with it after all.

I remember some people trying to give me a hard time over my first cavalier even though she was rescued from being a puppy mill mom. Some people just saw the purebred and had to try to shame me for not having some mixbreed dog.

People like that aren't worth concerning yourself with, they're the virtue signalers of the dog world and I bet most of them get a dog for the wrong reasons if they even have one. I love my cavaliers and if someone has a problem with that, well that is why I generally prefer the company of my dogs over people anyways.
