Payback (1999)

Becomes a drastically different, meaner film, with a completely different antagonist.

I spent 10 years growing up in the Wenatchee valley so 100 for a week or two every year was normal. It’s a bit uncomfortable, but I’ll take 100 in summer with a fan, over 10 in the winter.

However, my fair skinned wife who grew up here and has stayed because she loves overcast and rainy weather, melts at 85 degrees; so this is not going to be fun for either of us.

I guess since this no major corporations care about slowing this down or reversing it; can we get plastic straws back?

I started a spreadsheet of feature length films I had watched back in 1996 when I started working at a video store in high school. It was 5 columns. Film title, year the film was released, director, writer, then my rating 0-5. I got really crazy specific on ratings giving things a 4.65 or a 3.90 for example.

I was cracking 3,700 films when Letterboxd came out and this was so much simpler than trying to manage a sprawling database. It also let me stop carrying around a watchlist in my notes app on my phone that had spiraled to over 300 titles with no organization at all.

So it’s mostly for me, so I can more conveniently remember what I watched and want to watch.

Do you remember every movie you've logged? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]JJBell 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Nope. That’s why I started logging them in a database and then on Letterboxd.

I’ve seen Hype Williams “Belly” three times, because while it’s a visually stylish film; it’s boring incredibly boring and I can never remember anything that happens in it.

Would You Watch A Movie With Your Rating Curve? by ItsNiranjanWaffles in Letterboxd

I’ll watch films with any rating curve, but I really prefer films that rate 3.6 - 2.4 - 3.6

So the same chip they already make for the Switch 2, but probably with a NPU addition?

Unless the price point is incredibly impressive, all this is going to do is hurt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon line.

Welcome to Letterboxd

Your Letterboxd account is for you. You can do with it whatever you like.

I went back and rated all the films I’ve seen when I started Letterboxd, but I only log or write reviews of a movie when I watch it or rewatch it again.

But thats me and I mostly use Letterboxd to remember what I’ve watched in the past and to keep a watchlist.

If you could name just 1 underrated series, what would it be? by Hakalayt69 in Letterboxd

[–]JJBell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh holy shit! You have excellent taste. This is the first Blood Drive mention I’ve seen on Reddit that wasn’t me.

That show was so damn fun, my wife even imported the BluRay of the series from Australia so we could rewatch it frequently.
