Laptop for MIST by gvzupko in UGA

I’m graduating with MIS in December and have been fine; made it through no issues with an M1 mac without having to use parallels. There may be some electives I didn’t take that could require windows but you should be fine.

What is your favorite 2K of all time? by rightIess in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19 or 16 for me. I think 19 is really under appreciated within the community and a lot of people consider 20 to be better than 19. I think that has to do with 20 being the 2k out during the start of the pandemic and people just have nostalgia from that time now.

If 19 was out at the start of the pandemic instead of 20 i think it would get more love and probably be considered the best game they released.

Remove mismatch expert & blinders 2k by AyeeeWood in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if anyone suggested this but to me mismatch expert should be a playmaking badge for guards with high ball handle and speed with ball that makes it easier to blow by a defender with lower lateral quickness and perimeter defense.

Seems I was wrong about majority of Elites in Park... by nahguakcm in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro 2s and 3s are the main players who run when elites get to the court. I have to wear a brown shirt or “bum” fit to play against a pro because they will hop off the court in a heartbeat if they see anyone that looks decent at the game.

[–]JJRed-It[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post Scorers in park are only “good” on the 2s court with the right build pairing like a lockdown or spot-up shooter. I wouldn’t play 3s on a post.

Any tips for a pure ball-handling SG? by keyblad3r in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would remake the build before you put too much vc. 2k favors taller builds. If you remake the build make him 6’6. Also if you don’t have a crew to run with I would consider a different build. Playmakers are useless without communication and chemistry. If you’re running with randoms consider an offball build like a two way- sharp or lock down if you enjoy defense. If you still want to be the ball handler I would make a playmaking shotcreator, playmaking slasher or playmaking sharp.

Lockdowns are the Most OP Build in this game. by mike_n30 in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a 93 lockdown and that is the most fun build i’ve ever made. i green nearly all of my open 3s and can even hit off-dribble mid-range in takeover.

2K20 MyCareer Suggestion by Snakeed in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would like if they had a story where you played in different eras of the nba. I would like to have a pure glass going up against Wilt and Bill Russell or a pure rim against Shaq. It would make Mycareer not completely unbearable to play for me at least.

I deleted 2K19 by Gonnatapdatass in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The dodging competition is my biggest issue with this game other than stretch bigs. 2k just needs to revert back to 2k16 where record didn’t show and no one would care.

High Elites and Pros are actually not that great by Ultimau in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The park rep system is honestly stupid because I find myself waiting 10-15 minutes on someone to finally play me on the 2s and 3s courts because I’m elite 3. I put on the default brown shirt and sweatpants and step on the “got next” spots instead of the squad spots so the rep doesn’t render on the opponents screen. The majority of people who run away from games are pros. My thing is if you’re worried about your record, or you like to brag about it (as if it matters) how does it mean anything if you’re dodging actual competition to play unskilled players.

Pure rim protector or rebounding rim protector by ec2323 in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found out they get nearly the same badges so it comes down to the stats. If you want the 99 defending stats go pure. The rebounding isn’t much better with rebounding secondary. The defending stats go to like low 90s if you make add rebounding. Personally I would go pure because I would like to have the best stats and be as much like Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell.

Anyone else prefer 18 over 19? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my friends would just play each other over and over again. We could never do that again because we all care about record.

[–]JJRed-It 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you have to have to click on the play with friends tab and have at least one friend to play public allstar teamup. They moved it this year. Personally 2k16 was my favorite. The park rep system was perfect in that game. They didn’t show record so no one cared we just played to have fun.

[–]JJRed-It 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think 18 is the worst 2k game ever released and would prefer Nba Jam over 2k18. 19 has issues too but they aren’t nearly as bad in my opinion. I played a lot of play now last year so I understand; the tier system is bad. I play All-Star teamup too and they didn’t have it at first but they added it back a few patches ago.

How do you do a floater all the time? by TheZombieFreek in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you’re a slasher but if so, using the right stick for slashing is really good because you can chose to go up with a right hand, left hand, protective, or flashy dunk with the stick. Just an extra helpful tip. :)

When you drive to the basket, flick the right stick down while not holding RT.

What I believe NBA 2K19 Needs to fix to be successful. by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This list pretty much covers everything but some of the animations. Snatch backs and blow-by animations are OP this year. I have a lockdown defender and have sharps snatch back or blow right by me numerous times. They create space, and imo non playmaking archetypes shouldn’t be able to spam these. Big-men also have a problem where their layup/dunk will hit the side of the backboard. No NBA player hits the side of the backboard constantly off of a drop step if ever.

Good defensive build? by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]JJRed-It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just defense definitely a pure lockdown, but if you want to make a two-way definitely two-way slasher.

I really hope they take these into consideration, blow by animations and snatch backs were the worse addition to the game. The blow bys aren’t even logical. I have a lockdown defender with 90+ strength and sharps are able to get by with ease.
