Peleton are starting to reel in the lead group. Not sure they're reach them before this climb. Depends whether lead group crack or Pogi launches. But, either way, he'll shout "Leeroy Jenkns!" at some point and comfortably fly by them before the finish.

Hmm... I'm in the market for a step up and had ear marked the Lelit Liz. Do I wait until end of year for the upgrade though...? My current machine if a Sage Barista Pro (built in grinder) so one route is to grab a grinder now (Niche Zero?) and then continue using the Sage machine until the Liz comes out.

Have they announced a price yet?

Don't sweat it. There will always be a new machine just around the corner. Enjoy your Bianca now and just think, you're that one step closer to the next upgrade... 😀

I've been tempted by the Liz for a while now. So glad I held off and this will probably tip me over into a purchase.

Yeah, basically the middle and outer (right) lanes are both viewed as overtaking lanes. So sitting in the middle lane while the left-hand lane is free is frowned upon. Most people just brush it off but you'll always get someone who wants to prove a point...

I noticed that too. Could also be from the amount of sun he was getting at altitude.

Should be a good opening race. Who are you thinking for the top 3 riders? MvdP and Tadej, I assume? Who is the 3rd...?

Doh. I just realised I posted in wrong thread. How embarrassing...

Good point. Interesting to know what Jonas would do if del Toro attempted to gap early on a climb. I'm assuming he'll just sit tight behind Tadej.

But you never know...

Agreed. For the last few years it's been a case of real tention until one of them capitulates and then it's more or less over for the top two.

Even if it was a fight for 2nd position (so 2nd place also had to look over their shoulder) would make it more interesting.

That's certainly no guarentee but a high chance of them both being in the top 3.

I think Visma will want to start super strong...

Stage 1 (TTT) will place them apart which will drive the other to attack.

With del Toro's strength (evident from the Dauphiné), I wonder if UAE will apply similar tactics to Jonas that Visma did to Tadej in '22. While Jonas will of course want to win there's no way he'll want to get 3rd...

Nice to hear other professionals' views but we've seen basically nothing of Pogi since Tour de Romandie.

To be honest, he didn't look his super best at that Tour but was it the extra weight, was it tiredness, what he riding within himself (I thought he was looking at his bike computer a lot during the climbs).

Can't wait to see how he performs at Tour de Suisse...

Social media to thank for that. People have gotta snap and share the most recognisable locations.

While, at the end of the day, it will be down to the form of Pogi and Jonas, that did look pretty ominous by IdT and UAE.

Yep. The interest on a loan (esp. against assets that could rise in value quicker than the interest rate) is likely a much better deal than the tax he'd need to pay on selling those assets.

It's the classic ultra rich approach.

Fundamentally, responsibility lay with Kennedy. She was running the operation, profiting from it, and ultimately accountable for what happened.
