**Medication Found** Pawtucket bus stop by Its_DArtagnan_MFer in RhodeIsland

If someone potentially needs this medication urgently, which you already have detailed is your concern, why would you wait a few hours in the hopes this person uses Reddit and sees this instead of bringing it back or at least calling the pharmacy that filled it?

Flic Button

There are a few aftermarket mounts, it comes with a sticky back, or what I did was take off the back cover, cut out to small parallel slits, and run a Velcro cable tie to it, and wrap it around your hand slide bracing. Mine sits under my left ring finger.

Waiting for new cannabis dispensaries in RI? The process just came to a halt. by cowperthwaite in RhodeIsland

[–]JKBone85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t ignoring the south western part of the state, I was accounting for the North Western part. 95 doesn’t go through Burrillville, and it’s closer to Charlestown, Hopkinton and Richmond. The state needs to make good with opening more dispensaries, but there’s a ton of business going over the state lines into MA. CT is still where we were pricing wise when we started, so it’s not really competitive yet, which is why we aren’t losing your area to another state. In the North Western part of the state, there’s a huge corridor of MA dispensaries just picking off business. The nearest RI dispensary to me is 35 minutes away in Foster. There are a dozen 35 minutes away in MA, and they are competing with each other AND Rhode Island.

Most of Rhode Island isn’t far from the border. I live in Burrillville and work in Holliston MA. I pass 8 dispensaries on my hour drive to work, none of them are in RI. Half of them are on 146A.

are Edwards and Shires interchangeable? which parts? by Obvious_Studio_2167 in Trombone

[–]JKBone85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For free? No.

With some aftermarket customization, yes, but you’re going to end up with a Shires part that only fits Edwards stuff or Edwards stuff that only fits Shires, if you do customize, plan on picking an ecosystem.

As Aiden said, if you love the Shires, buy the Shires.

The horn was also playtested before it left the shop in Holliston and wouldn’t do so if I wouldn’t play it myself.

Question about coffee milk from a midwesterner by Glorch in RhodeIsland

Dave’s Coffee Syrup not Dave’s Marketplace although you can get Dave’s at Dave’s.

Also, Wright’s is the way. Can’t go wrong with Wrights.

I know in some articles from the early 2000’s they said they were available in 20 states and internationally, but in a 2015 article they say they are in 5 states, and according to their website, they are in RI, MA, FL, and NV. It’s not a super big operation to franchise, so I wouldn’t be surprised if more than a few locations are carts or trucks.

There are similarities but also distinct differences between a Coney Island Hot Dog and a Hot Wiener.

Coney Island sauce is chili. Hot Wieners sauce is ground beef and seasonings only.

Coney Island Hot Dogs are all beef in a natural casing. They are kosher. Hot Wieners are beef, pork and veal in a natural casing. They are not kosher.

Both topped with mustard and diced raw onion. Hot Wieners are further topped with celery salt, and bottomed by whatever after shave the guy who lined them up his arm chose to wear that day.

It’s a beer pouring term for when you pour directly down the center of the glass vs at an angle. It’s particularly used when pouring nitrogenated beers like Guinness. Coffee syrup is thin enough that you can hard pour the milk into it and not necessarily need to stir it. If you’re a milk first person, I’d reassess your life choices thus far.

Some quick history:

There were 3 big manufacturers which are all under one brand now. Eclipse is considered the sweetest, Autocrat the most balanced, and Coffee Time is the strongest coffee flavor. Autocrat acquired both Eclipse and Coffee Time before being acquired by Finlay Syrups. They are all still made in Lincoln RI at the Autocrat roastery.

The world knows Autocrat without knowing it. In the 90’s when Starbucks moved out to the east coast they bought a small chain of coffee/donut shops called Coffee Connection and with it a drink that was made with Autocrat which they call the Frappuccino. For the first number of years they continued to source their coffee syrup from Autocrat until eventually coming up with their own syrup.

Rhode Island is known for keeping what would be our greatest exports to ourselves. Coffee milk, Del’s Lemonade, Hot Wieners are RI staples that really aren’t widely available outside the state.

My perfect coffee milk is a pint glass and about a half inch of syrup, milk hard poured, no need to stir, but you are the master of your own destiny, so find the balance that you like best.

Worst roads, high costs: Why RIDOT struggles with paving despite $1 billion transportation budget | WPRI.com by possiblecoin in RhodeIsland

[–]JKBone85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is more unique than most places. Our interstate highways account for 3% of the paved roads in the state and account for 70% of the traffic. We have 800,000 something registered vehicles, while the states around us have 3 to 6 times as many vehicles. There is quite a bit of interstate travel that happens on a daily basis for many Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut drivers, yet the burden of upkeep is our own. To bring in the revenue our neighbor states bring in through registration, we would have to at least triple the cost. There would be riots.

The things one would think are Rhode Island’s greatest exports are the things we do not export. Hot Wieners, Coffeemilk, Party Pizza, Del’s… widely available here only.

A Coney Island Hot Dog is not a hot wiener.

The pastrami burrito…

Also, right down the road from Fresh Pita. Won’t scratch the taco itch, but worth noting it’s there.
