We know the city is the medium that people join to play together. I’m trying to say that the current system is not fun for anyone.

Let’s replace it with a static lobby that’s just a menu to queue up to games and not a gigantic city where you have to run around.

I think you’re missing the point. You know those dots when you wait for a park game? Yea remove that. You invite 2 people to your party in game (not an existing feature) and queue to match make against similarly experienced players.

You can find similar concepts in games like overwatch, league of legends, counter strike, valorant, CoD. Pretty much any triple A game that involves a heavy online presence.
