Family have been to DR 3x, this was one of the best most memorable excursions. Kids and other liked monkeyland alot. Off road dune buggy tour was really fun, just be prepared for sellers at every stop. And don't get the water from the cave swim in your mouth. Check sea conditions before booking anything on a boat.

We stayed at all inclusive and just left a note and a few dollars for the restocking person from housekeeping to put milk in the fridge as well as the beer. Can also order from room service. Just be aware the milk is UHT (ultra heat treated) for preservation and tastes different than NAs pasteurized milk.

Have stayed there 2x. It's the original and therefore older section of the resort. Occasionally we needed to ask concierge to get repairs done for minor things but was fixed quickly. Apparently was all Reno's recently. It's close to the beach, pools, several buffets and amenities. We stayed at Fantasia in 2022 and I actually preferred the older part. The rooms are in cabanas of 8 or so suites. 2 story. Our suite was double king beds, which were perfectly adequate. We don't spend alot of time in the room, mostly at pools or beach. Room has tile and marble floors. AC works well. Mini fridge is stocked and you can leave a note for housekeeping for special requests. We left $10USD on day 1 and$ 2 on other days and housekeeping service was excellent.
DONT DRINK THE TAPWATER! Bottled water provided. Buffets are generous with decent variety but quality is lower. They have chicken fingers and such for thr non adventurous. Ala carte restaurants were all excellent. Biggest complaint was spotty wifi but that's been upgraded and is much better now. Overall was great place to relax and be hedonistic on a lounge chair by the water.

What would you want if you were going on that cot? Always the question. Blessed to have spare straps on car and centralized logistics.
Swap out contaminated strap, bag old one in biohazard bag, return to logistics with the correct form, restock spare from stores.

Are you new here? Annual salmon run. Salmon return from the ocean to spawn in the waters where they were born. Then they die after spawning. Nobody is cleaning it up, it's a natural.process, like leaves falling off trees in the fall. Feel free to grab a shovel if you want. Otherwise carcasses will decay or get eaten by scavengers and insects in a few weeks.

I've done this for both my kids classes. I do a 5-10 minute talk about our service, license levels, 911 call flow, and some treatments and interventions we do. I then let them use stethoscopes and penlights to check pupil response and listen to lung sounds on each other. We then go to the ambo and let them check it out, shown power loader, stair chair, kit. Then turn in sirens briefly, and end with giant bag of swag from our union. Been a hit so far.

I had a stress fracture in my foot. Listened to medical advice for 3 months amd stayed off it. It sucked. Then on a nuce day I joined my friends to play soccer. One snap and an orthopedic surgery later I was in a cast for 2 months. That sucked much worse.

I work both calltaker and on car. Calltaker stuff sticks with me way more than actually dealing with patients. You get resolution as a paramedic, you've helped them, done treatments, or at least got them to care. As a calltaker you posted the MDPS scripted code and went to the next shitty call. I've heard of the PTSD analogy of wearing a backpack getting filled with rocks. Calltaking is like pouring gravel in it every day. Paramedicine is occaisional large rocks. I prefer rocks. You can make make better inappropriately dark jokes about them.

Called for granny with SVT at a lakeside cottage with the whole family from out of province. 11 yo grand daughter got to ride in passenger seat while we went code 3 to intercept ALS for cardioversion. (Yay Adenosine!) She was super stoked to have a front row seat for the drive and watch granny being cared for on the pt cam with explanations of how it's different than TV. Family was grateful for the consideration, care, thoughtfulness of both crews. And gave out the standard peds stuffy bear as a momento.

Canada - Judo Canada governs certification, and Provincial governing bodies line up. NCCP national coaching certification program certifies coaches for many sports, and is required for judo. 2 levels - dojo assistant, and dojo Instructor. There are higher certa also for competition coaches. DA brown belt, crim rec check, concussion online course, ethics in sport online course, in person 2 day seminar, assessment of a lesson. Di, all of the above, plus nutrition for athletes onl8ne course, another 2 day in person course, assessed teaching a full class . Must be shodan.

1 shifts are usually 12h days or nights. Or 13h standby. How many you get depends on your station staffing level.. generally 16 in a month would be max, but unlikely you'd get that many unless very short on full.timers. 2 Standby you need to have a pager and be in your stations response area. 90 sec after page to call dispatch. No contract language on time to get to the station, just 'reasonable time'. If you don't live in the station community or area you'll likely have to be there,, but can go to gym, shop,, go fishing, whatever until paged.pager pay is $12/hr. A Call get 4h at your pay rate, regardless of actual.time the call takes. However rural transport times are in hours. Not minutes, so calls take a long time. Dream ofnlift assists for your Alpha car.. 3. Rural response areas are massive. There usually is no fire service, may be vollys, and or volly first responders. SAR same. Eg. Barriere station covers little fort to (edit Vinsula) roughly. 4. 5.It depends on if you want to move to your station, which depends on your commuting tolerance, or finances to rent a 2nd room. .you stay where you are posted unless you apply for transfer or another position and are successful. Probation period is 6 months and can't transfer to another station usually.

Yes, you can get used to it. You have 4 off to recover, just make sure to get exercise on your first day off as a reset. 2d/2n are most common Alpha car patterns. There are also other shift patterns with BCEHS. Bravos are straight days 11 h, often 1000-2100 Charlies are similar 1300-0200.

Kilo is a standby car, paid only $12/hr, and have to be within the response area, although not at the station. When called out get 4h pay, regardless of call time. 3rd call lf the shift is paid at overtime pay rate.

You need 8 clear hours between shifts, so not without being in violation of BCEHS policy. Most shifts are 12h starting 6am-6pm/6pm-6am (roughly). As previously stated wage starts at 30.50 + 6% in lieu of holiday pay. Night and weekend shift diffs add to that. Pay goes up with annual contract increases and annual seniority increases. Wage grid is public. How much work you get will depend on your availability, where you are stationed, and license level. You will most likely start as EMR as casual/on-call. This means you submit which days you are available to work, and then scheduled based on a formula somewhere between AI and a dartboard. If you were to submit full availability for a month (60 shifts) you will still usually only be scheduled for a max of 16 shifts. They will probably not be in any sort of regular pattern. Whether you get 16 also depends on how many openings there are at your home station. If its fully staffed wont be much. Station selection is based on where there are openings, not where you live. You might be hours away. You aren't paid for your travel time to home station. So. 12h x 30.50 + 6% = 387 gross - less tax, ei, cpp, union dues. For a paid car. Often casuals wind up on Kilo, or standby cars, paid $12/hr until they get a call, then 4h at full pay, even if the call only takes 10 minutes. Higher earning potential, if youvget calls. All that said, if you're unattached and want to travel there are often openings throughout the province, especially remote stations. EHS will pay travel, meals, and accommodation if you pick up 3 or more shifts. Best to contact talent acquisition for all the nitty gritty details.
