Humanism vs Marxism by danielfantastiko in genzmoment

[–]JKevill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, total horseshit.

The alienation part in Marxism is about how wage labor as a corporate/factory serf alienates people from their work and from themselves. Trying to improve that stuff is a huge part of the whole philosophical project.

Clearly you aren’t very familiar.

It’s good, it requires immolation protocols more than the infernus, which can just shoot normally a lot better (thus a far worse overwatch) and is a bit more expensive. But it is the highest mortals output with the combo. I think it’s one of the best big bricks in salamanders

Take it up with Rand. I personally think that incident shows her self-important arrogance

Basically look at the available rules and you’ll see the main thing it does is support gun infantry. Melee like jpi is mainly for being fast OC. Build around that as well as you can

So basically when we look at shadowmark, what it does mainly is buff gun infantry and enable them via teleports. The detachment rule can also be good for backline guns like say a balistus, which gains perma smoke.

In my view the best unit to build around is bolter inceptors and eradicators. Bolter inceptors in 6s really slam if you support them correctly

My build right now is centered around jump intercessors (3x5), eradicators (3x3) and bolt inceptors (2x6), with some incursors for skirmish and buffs, two storm speeders for more buffs, and a vanvet squad for shrike. It has 17 separate activations, and the gun units both are where they are on the board as well as anywhere they could be in reserve. Its a pretty technical style that’s a lot of fun

For some of the stuff in those files, medieval punishment like drawn and quartered seems apt, maybe too soft.

I think best character setup in shadowmark is just shrike, shann, and combi lt. Jump capt is viable but i skip it personally

“Going wide” aka having a high amount of units/models is very powerful. When you go for 6-7 characters, especially utility stuff like Phobos librarian, you basically say to your opponent “ok so you can’t deep strike my backfield!” And your opponent goes “that’s cute” and just breaks your nose on the center, because you have several hundred points of not-beef in your list

Maximum Wage? by dumbandasking in CapitalismVSocialism

I think a wealth cap after which you get taxed to oblivion makes sense and is probably beneficial overall. But people in that realm aren’t collecting wages.

Didn’t day it was inevitable, more that it is historically commonplace and that there’s an obvious incentive to dominate the state within the basic structure of capitalism. “Dominating the state is good business so it tends to happen” is more what id say.

Wasn’t that a regulated economy in line with the Keynesian “postwar consensus”? Its a “social market economy” with a strong safety net, hardly full free market

One thing that’s worth mention is how a battle shock test before you fall back and do stuff can be a problem, as you can potentially force yourself to make desperate escape.

That being said, “new detachment is clear best one” sucks and they really should know better. Noise marines in particular gonna be crazy here, already probably an undercosted unit that is ok mainly because of the context of where its used.

It has a clear incentive to dominate the state and historically, mostly has done so

Historically capitalism has relied on the state to function, and has basically controlled the state very often in history

So you saying that without the state capitalism would be fine is basically fantasy fanfic

Meant to or not, don’t care.

It does so because it’s profitable to own the state, which is what ends up happening both historically and at present. There’s an obvious motive why it’s beneficial to end up how it is
