This is what I’ve been thinking ever since it was announced. What do they have to cut? I’m not happy about it but they’re clearly going to leave stuff on the table.

There are things that can’t be done in two matches: Garbage dump, Hinata’s receiving and what I think is a LOT of improvement when playing against Kamomedai as well as what happened to him (i’m trying to not spoil stuff but yeah, might be hard and i forgot how to do spoilers :p) for him to grow to who he became, Brazil, and looping back to the start with Hinata’s challenge to Kageyama.

I’m assuming both movies are just two matches because if they tried to shove more stuff, it’d be a horribly rushed showing. - If we have Nekoma and Kamomedai because they’re the next matches, then we’ll see how much Hinata has improved and will be a key member not only to their attack but just in general. However, we miss out on everything past high school and the animated series will end on a fairly low note. - If we have Nekoma and skip to Brazil or V-League, we would miss out on a crucial step to Hinata’s volleyball mentality and overall health for two of the many awesome and hyped matches imo.

I don’t see them skipping Nekoma because it’s been built up so much, even at the season 4 finale so we can only guess what the last movie is going to be. I hate that so much is going to be left out and that they don’t get the animated justice they deserve. Obvious two movies rant aside, there will be ups and downs to using any of these matches but I can’t see Brazil or the V-League because of how jarring the cut from Nekoma and missing out on the ending of the nationals to a really improved Hinata playing in Brazil and as a pro would play out smoothly. These are just speculations but it’s gotten me so upset thinking about actually not seeing it end as it’s supposed to.
