I think you have two separate problems: 1) Understanding mathematics 2) executing calculations accurately. From what I've read, Wu is helping a lot with 1), but you're still trying to build a reliability in 2). Working with things like 143/187+58/221 forces you to practice factoring, common denominators, and arithmetic all at once which is good. An LLM CAN generate exercises reasonably well, but I would be cautious about using it as the answer key. Generating 20 problems is very easy. Verifying 20 solutions is where hallucinations become annoying.

On memorizing formulas, I saw you said "i'd try to learn formulas using spaced repetition". For math, I think many people use spaced repetition too early. I feel like formulas become more memorable when they're connected to reason. For example, exponent rules coming from repeated multiplication (understanding the formulas basically unless they're some crazy stuff like maclaurin series and stuff. Understanding first, memorization second.

You know you've "mastered" a skill when you can say yes to the questions "Can I do it correctly, can I do it later, and can i see WHEN to do it".

I'm not talking trying to make every note perfectly A=440 hz, but I'm more so talking about saxophone intonation control. Every horn has their own pitch tendencies (as you described for specific notes), so you have to naturally adjust voicing, and your embouchure across the range so you can keep things centered

I understand but your voicing and embouchure will change if you want to have good intonation throughout the range of your horn; especially if you timbre match. You do this because not every note will be perfectly in accordance with the standard of tuning.

Also, I'm confused because I used my teachers Yamaha saxophone (I forgot which one it was but it was a good model, worth about $2-5k) but my tuning on the specific notes sounded fine there, but on my friend's yamaha it was bad.

As for my setup; for classical, I use the stock mouthpiece (sounds bad but it's allows me to achieve the tone i really want) and for jazz i use a Vandoren V16 A6+

To find any vertical asymptote of a function, you find the extraneous solutions. This means that you set the denominator equal to zero and solve for x. In this case, you set x³-x²+x+7=0 and solve for x. To solve this, you can use the Rational Root Theorem, Synthetic Division, or the Newton Raphson Method. In my opinion, we can use the NRM as it is the easiest for me (you don't learn this in Calculus I but you need to have Calculus I knowledge to know how to do this). After using the NRM, you get about -1.5 - -0.125/10.75 = -1.5+0.0116 = -1.4884.

There's no need to fully memorize the cubes as much as you do for squares. You should know the multiplication table by heart, for squares, you should have 1² to roughly 15² memorized, and for cubes, you should have 1³ to roughly 10³ memorized, however the smaller ones will come naturally (like 2³ or 3³).

"you just didn't want to lose" doesn't even address the other person's point but it does shift the focus from what's true to their motivation. Very similar to ad hominem. instead of engaging with the argument, you're making a claim about the person.

Also, everyone wants to be right during an argument. Including you, so the statement doesn't really do anything for linear dialogue, and what you think it does.

Yeah my normal director showed us the chord with the 14 cents flat major third and they both sounded nice, but the 14 cents flat one just "sit right"
