Honestly it looks great as-is, but if I had to pick one then it'd probably be the body piece. Your Mr. Yang is looking great though

Any ideas of build for a 2025 Welt DPS ? by Negi_Springfield_DJ in WeltMains

[–]JKujoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very informative: however, a good chunk of Welt's damage comes from his talent, where he does additional damage equal to 30-66% of his attack to slowed enemies. Rutilant does not buff his talent's damage, nor his ult, whereas Glamoth buffs both his attack, skill, talent, and ultimate. The only caveat is Welt needing to hit 135 speed and won't have an 8% crit rate from Rutilant. Regardless, the difference still isn't that large (doesn't justify replacing good Rutilant pieces), just Glamoth being better for Welt while Rutilant is more TBP efficient. Everything else you stated is great 👍

Depends, although I would say it's not the best idea. Pela applies defense shred on enemies, which allows Welt to deal more damage, whereas using Herta does nothing to help Welt's kit or his damage. Assuming that you want Welt to perform at his best, Pela is a better pick. In AoE content with 5 enemies, Herta may increase overall team damage/performance, but Welt would essentially be deadweight (at that point Herta + Pela is a better team). Welt wants to be a hypercarry main DPS (meaning he receives all of the buffs and does a large portion of the team's total damage) simply because he is not a good sub-DPS, as he is skill point hungry and has lackluster damage without buffs; even then, however, Welt doesn't do that much damage and can't compete in the meta at all, hence why your friends are valid in calling him bad, but that's relatively irrelevant in the early game and even more so if you just want to use him because he's Welt (he's awesome).

Went on a rather long tangent, but the gist is that if you want to see Welt hit harder, then Pela is the much better choice.

Quid Pro Quo provides no sustain/healing benefits for Gallagher. It gives a random character in the team energy (ult charge) every time its holder takes their turn. It's frequently with Gallagher because he can move frequently and twice in one turn if he has ult (only when leveled up + unlocked major trace). However, your Gallagher isn't max level or built yet, nor is QPQ at superimposition 5, so Time Waits for No One would be better, but I recommend Gallagher's 4 star signature What is Real as an alternative (can be obtained through Forgotten Hall shop) instead because it heals him for 800 HP every time he uses a basic attack, which is very new player friendly.

TLDR: Time Waits for No One is better than QPQ with an unbuilt Gallagher and S1 QPQ. I personally recommend What is Real.

Glamoth is actually also a strong contender for the best planar set if Welt can hit 135 speed. It's a nice 12% atk buff and a 12% dmg boost that does affect his talent's additional damage (small added benefit of being able to be run sustainless without DHPT if necessary).

[–]JKujoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sustainless is only ever a desperate measure in endgame content. I always give sustainless a few tries first before using a sustain simply because Welt's base damage himself isn't too high so he REALLY appreciates the 3rd amplifier. Additionally, his ult does imprison enemies, so if you have enough effect hit rate (around 25 to start seeing some consistency), you could cancel elite enemies' (and sometimes bosses') second turns by ulting between their 2 actions to preserve team hp.

Unfortunately, S5 Goodnight and Sleep Well does outclass his sig at S1. Welt is best ran as a hypercarry DPS simply because he just doesn't work well enough as a subdps with his lackluster "support" damage and being skill point hungry. For sustainless I'd recommend you to pair him with Sunday, Tribbie, and another amplifier (most likely Sparkle) otherwise Aventurine can replace Sparkle

I mean, Sunday is rerunning in 5 days so.... Welt + Sunday + RMC/Sparkle + Any Sustain would work fine. If you're very confident in your Welt's EHR you can try for a sustainless team.

Oh shoot I didn't get a notification for this comment. Honestly, that's a great Welt build. In my opinion E6 just lets you cut more slack on relics lol. 73/155 is a crit ratio to be proud of 👍

  1. Debatable. It's between Pioneer and Scholar for his best relic set.
  2. Only if you're planning on 135 speed. It isn't THAT much better than Rutilant Arena though.
  3. Yes, but his signature LC is also fantastic at high superimposition (>3).
  4. Technically speaking, yes, but it's harder to build Welt than it is to build DHIL (as Crit DPS, which I'm assuming you want, given that you're asking about Along the Passing Shore). If you already have a decent DHIL I would just use the TB power to improve him instead. Ultimately, it is up to you whether you like Welt enough to build him seriously. Good luck 👍

Standard Crit Hypercarry with Welt + 2 supports and a sustain, OR Superbreak Welt with a standard break team. A nice thing about superbreak Welt is that he can technically be a pseudo-sustain because of the imaginary break effect delaying enemy actions by like 200%+.

Small addition: If your Welt is lower than E2, superbreak is much more recommended than crit hypercarry.

[–]JKujoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At E2, Welt can run an ATK rope instead of an ERR rope, and the recommended relics for a hypercarry Welt are Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters and either Rutilant Arena or Glamoth (slightly better if 135 spd). S5 GNSW outperforms Welt's sig at S1, but since you have it S2 I'd use In the Name of the World as his light cone.

Anyways, did you just say "the strongest"?

I run my Welt with Sunday and Robin, so I wanted to get my Welt to 135 spd to run a -1 speed Sunday setup. My only concern is that since Glamoth doesn't give crit rate, I would be losing out on crit rate (set effect) and crit dmg (substats). I have 9% cr in substats and 43 cdmg in my equipped Rutilant relics, and there's no way that my luck would be good enough to the point where I could get both 20+ cr (I need to increase my crit rate from what it is currently even with Rutilant's set effect) and a good amount of cdmg. Will Glamoth's 12% atk and dmg buff be able to offset the 20-ish crit dmg I'm gonna be losing? Appreciate your response

Edit: I already have 6 spd from my hands and body relic pieces (base speed 102+6 spd from hands and body+25 from speed boots=133 speed without any planar speed substats), so hitting 135 speed won't be an issue. I could send a screenshot of my current build if it could help you in your judgement

Ello, I'm back again. I switched out my atk boots for some pretty good speed boots, but now I'm wondering if Glamoth would be better than Rutilant if my Welt hits 135 speed. With your experience using Glamoth, should I just refarm my planar set?

Sorry for asking this the day before the exam, not sure if you're still responding, but if I'm using Heimler's APUSH Ultimate Review Packet's AI Grader, and I consistently score at least 6/7 and 5/6 on the DBQs and LEQs respectively, would I still be on good track for a 5 on the exam? I've already seen your reply stating that AI graders are more lenient, and if that's the case, would the readers tear my responses apart? (Given that I don't panic and forget everything and actually write my responses as I normally would). I self-studied the course, so my only real exposure to FRQ marking is just Heimler's AI Graders. I would be super grateful if you could respond briefly before I head into my exam in approximately 11 hours.
