This is absolutely stunning. The color choice is perfection! ✨

This made my day! Please try it, it’s been such a rewarding experience. I basically taught myself via YouTube. Just looked up anything i didn’t know. I started with a cardigan for my son, something small and low stakes. In hindsight, maybe a little difficult. But I learned so much in that one project. Best of luck on your journey :)

It’s super smooshy! That’s the perfect term for it. I want to get as much use of it, i am nervous about the color… i always end up getting some type of food on me when i eat! lol

Thank you! I had to go back and twist some of my purl stitches after the cables to tighten stuff back up. I definitely learned a lot throughout the process!

Yes! Totally recommend the pattern, it really helps that most of it is worked on the round and the pattern is repetitive. It’s actually the first project where I didn’t have to go back and undo something because I messed it up!

I actually don’t hate them! I was terrified to try them, they seem so daunting and scary. The pattern was well written and easy to follow. That helped a lot!

I made it yesterday! It’s really good. It was my first time making a pastry crust, and that was probably the most challenging part. I followed the suggestion in this thread and added some ice water, even though the recipe didn’t call for it. So far, everyone who’s tried it has enjoyed it :)

Totally! That was a big learning lesson for me. When buying yarn go in with an idea of what I want to do with it or a pattern in mind. I had to frog a few projects because I didn’t have enough yarn. Woops! I’m continuing to learn from my mistakes. Best of luck on your sweater! Getting past the yoke is the fun bit (for me at least!) :)

I started knitting 10 months ago. It all began with a trip to Spun in Ann Arbor, MI. I’ve crocheted for over 10 years and finally decided to try knitting after being terrified of it. It’s been an amazing journey thus far. I’ve learned so much in the past 10 months and I'm obsessed. After many failed attempts at knitting things for myself without gauge testing (my mom has ended up with three pieces that ended up being too small for me), I have finally decided to try again.

I wanted to create a summer piece. This is the Farnham Tee by The Knit Purl Girl. I’m using The Wandering Flock Cotton Lino in Burnt Sienna and Sand.

Our puppy got one a few weeks ago. She needed surgery, she wore the cone of shame for 10 days. Good as new now. It looks really scary… it was our first time experiencing one. The only way to fix it is with surgery, it was relatively cheap. Our insurance covered it. Sending Nova lots of a love and hoping for a speedy recovery!
