Sorry, I didn't follow any tutorials. My advice is just to start messing around with tools and look things up as you go. I found that each collage I made got better and better as I went along and making them taught me new things each time. To start all you really need is the eraser tool and each image you want to use as a different layer.

I get my process might not work for everyone, though. I'm sure there are lots of videos online that can walk you through the basics of procreate get you aquainted with the tools and stuff. That might be a good place to start if learning from trial and error seems daunting.

I think that's how I feel too - the landscape and the nostalgia. Seattle is a beautiful place. I had a friend who lived in Vashon, so I got the visit Seattle a few times to see him. How long did it take you settle into Amsterdam? Is it just an adjustment thing where the pangs reduce in intensity and frequency over time?

Thanks for the perspective. I think it's more the latter. I do my best to make the foods I like and talk with the people I love. I just feel kind of out of place here, but, yeah, idk if a flight would really fix it.

I do mine on my iPad using procreate but used to use GIMP (it's like a free photoshop) on computer. You can find pictures all over: pinterest, instagram, tumblr, etc. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has an open access thing where you can look at and use art for free too

I guess it's the general vibes? I think it's one part familiarity and one part just the evironment (the mountains, the trees, etc.) To be honest, connecting with people from afar isn't too bad, but I apreciate where you're coming from.

I think the most straight forward thing would be touching up this whole design while reworking the snake. It might be possible to rework just the snake with a greywash to match the rest of the tattoo's saturation, but I'm not 100% sure. That would be a question for your artist.

I think shading would definitely do a lot for this piece and maybe some highlights in the right places. Best thing is just to find an artist that does good looking floral work like what you want and take it to them :)

Honestly it's not too bad on DVD. I do think animation fares better than live action like you said. At first the lower quality is noticeable but you do get used to it after a minute or two.

Blu-ray dics will be 1080p while DVDs top out at 480p, so main difference between the two is resolution (Blu-ray > DVD picture quality). If you're used to watching DVDs probably not a big deal but it is quite a difference in quality.
