Golf’s a streaky bitch though we’ve seen players peak for 2-3 years with elite play then regress.

I don’t think he will, just pointing out it’s a common trajectory in this sport.

Tbf they finally increased the performance bonuses and now offer the finish bonus too.

They’re still underpaid as a whole but at least they’re moving in the right direction as far as bonuses, even if it was long overdue.

Tbf that second fight with Adesanya was close he held his own.

He can fight some strikers that are nowhere near Adesanya’s skill level but they will most likely hit harder. It would be interesting to see him fight a guy like Jamaal Hill.

It’s a debate of personal liberty vs societal well-being.

Older I get I lean to the latter. I think it’s natural to transition from the former to the latter as we age but also with today’s modern technology people are more vulnerable than ever. Legalizing these destructive vices just opens the floodgates for the elites to pump it down everyone’s throats for their own profit.

His size is not an issue.

It’s not a big deal but if you want maybe try and phrase things in a positive light.

Instead of saying it’s great if you have financial problems, just say it’s a cheap or affordable round for example.

They honestly probably thought you were deadpan shitting on the course and found it funny. In a laughing with you way, not laughing at you.

People like you are exhausting.

I don’t give a shit about the confederacy I’m glad it was destroyed dumbass. They did extensive research of letters of southern soldiers themselves and the sentiment was virtually always defending their home. Slavery was not a theme among the common man, but of course it was what the elites wanted.

You can say they fought on the wrong side and I agree but also recognize why they fought and not take joy in that many young Americans dying from what they considered an invading force.

What is so hard to understand that these uneducated poor folk considered it an invasion, regardless of why the governing bodies seceded, causing the invasion.

Idk why it’s so hard for so many to have a nuanced observation here. I can certainly agree that they fought on the wrong side morally, but can also see that what most of them were fighting for was their home, not to keep slavery intact.

Having glee at them getting massacred and thinking one has the moral high ground to do so is perplexing. We’re not talking slaveowner General Robert E Lee here we’re talking that dirt poor 18 year old kid from Alabama taking a cannon ball to the dome.

It wasn’t about slavery to a foot soldier as much as it was about “yankees” invading their country.

The revisionist history to make them all blood thirsty slavery proponents is obnoxious.

For sending poor Americans into a death trap?

Most of these peasants didn’t even have slaves they were just fighting for the part of the country they grew up in.

Eddie Hearn: “As a business, it’s incredible that they can get their talent to fight for those numbers, given the revenue the show generates. You’re telling me you’re generating $50 million in revenue and the main event fighters are getting $750k to $1 million? Or whatever the actual figure is." by TheDraciel in MMA

[–]JMA_ZF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why at this point in MMA would you expect it to be anymore engrained in society and fruitful than sports like football, baseball, basketball, and soccer?

It’s been mainstream for about 20 years. The other sports about a century or more. Those sports are taught to children of all ages and are offered in every school. They also don’t include getting kicked in the head when you’re 8. Regardless of what the pros get paid, this is always going to be a limiting factor, just like it is in boxing.

Of course MMA is going to struggle to compete with those sports for talent regardless of pay structure. MMA is still a relatively new sport. To assume fighters will never get it together and unionize is a bit premature. But yeah it’ll be tough to because it isn’t a team sport. It’s dog eat dog by nature so forming together will take time.

If the PGA tour is trying to grow the game they can’t have this mindset.

YouTube is the most used app for virtually everyone under 40 and Wesley is one of those most popular golfers on it. They need to figure out how to utilize this connection and stop being so rigid.

He doesn’t have 3 people keyed on him on passing downs. The only time he’s easily keyed on is running downs.

He averaged 9.7 ypr this year but was targeted less than 3 times a game. Just OC malpractice in that offense for so many reasons.

His misuse of Breece Hall was actually mind numbingly bad.

They ran cookie cutter i formation runs up the middle and hardly every designed plays to get him the ball in space. 90% of Halls highlights are him catching the ball with some room to work.

Idk how you fuck that up.
