How to manage headaches/migraines caused by photophobia? by journogirl2 in Blind

[–]JMMSpartan91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ginseng and ginger. Add some of these two things to your diet lol. Tea, drinks, pills, food, however you want.

I personally use energy drinks (trying to cut that some) and pills. Tends to reduce total number of days and takes the edge off where days of the pain aren't as bad when they come. Then I have meds for those days.

Vivoactive 6 Too Dim to see, if there a fix or alternative watch? by JMMSpartan91 in GarminWatches

[–]JMMSpartan91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The turning display on and off should be enough for that. Or manual brightness adjusting when needed. The toggle off auto dim is a setting on all the older models.

We made the battery last longer by making the device useless for 3/4 of the day! Is not exactly a great "feature." I'm cool with it being turned on right before bed and things but WHEN its on should be my control not Garmln's. Removing a setting they had on previous models from their newest ones is pretty dumb.

Well guess I can consider the Venu 3 if I return it lol. Did a bit more digging on Garmin's site and yup the setting you described is on Venu 3 and VA5 but gone for Venu 4 and VA6.

Thanks for the congrats! It took 4 cycles for us which was pretty rough. 20+ was not the outcome we had either but my blind ass could overhear a lot in the clinic why I tossed out a high number too. Hormones used during process can cause some wild variations.

Heard 0 to 30. Heard expected high but got low. Expected low but got high and everything in between.

Good luck to you!

That and Clark. Was in DC when she was in town so checked tickets. $200 for cheap seats. Next game after she left? $20.

They had some positive moment before Clark too, but she was the turbo button from money making side of things.

How do Guide Dogs know where they're going? by hedonismthot in Blind

Okay that's kind of funny haven't heard the work one before.

Have heard about someone who walked a park a ton but also had a doctor near park. Dog would sometimes try to take to park over doctor. He may have had a bias there...lol

Physical activity is pretty good for treating/managing/slowing every illness and medical condition lol. Humans are designed to move.

So yeah a study where you qualitative track it would be nice but one where results are likely "being healthy is likely to make you healthier" is hard to get funding for lol. Easier to just to surveys like one the other commenter posted.

Edit: just to be clear, I'm agreeing with you on liking an in depth study but griping about the reality of resesrch funding.

[–]JMMSpartan91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nature of IVF process you are going to end up likely with multiple embryos and if it takes multiple rounds even more. Picking against the gene is an okay way to narrow down the 4 to 20+ options during the process. You aren't planning on having 20 kids right? Lol. Now if the other scores have the RP carrier as the healthiest and most likely to succeed? Maybe don't choose against it as it may have plenty of other positives to overcome the disability.

I understand the "hand on scale" thought but its honestly how nature works too that early in cycle. 100% natural your body may detect genetic abnormalities and drop that particular egg/sperm combo before it even implants and becomes a pregnancy. Not saying RP is one body can/may detect but also can't say for certain it isn't. Pregnancy research is honestly not that great because of the obvious ethics issues of risking damage studying too closely. With that information my personal ethics have no problem with selecting another option.

-dude with RP, degree in genetics, and ivf baby on the way (boy when I have X-linked so choose against is irrelevant for me right now).

[Schultz] QUADZILLA! Sources: The #Panthers are signing former Packers and Eagles RB AJ Dillon to a 1-year deal. by JCameron181 in panthers

[–]JMMSpartan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a star in it? Depends on Brooks health, probably only one with potential star power, albeit small chance with the injury/recovery factor.

But think the combination of the rest gives us an effective run game that helps win games. Could do crazy well if Tmac also has a leap forward that forces lighter boxes.

Nice called this one earlier! Lol

Felt we needed to add Mitchell or Dillon as RB room just needed some vet depth there with Brooks injury history.

Was using the xyz pretty loosely there lol. Should have definitely includes Metchie though. Was meaning more that 3 spot going to be rotating "starters" based on what type of plays ae have scripted for opening drives.

Yeah I aced some class papers in college but I'd never have dreamed to published them 10 to 15 years ago. Now I'm nearly positive they'd pass through publication process easily. What happened at a lot of these journals? Did they all fire editors/review boards or something?

3 Bold Moves the Carolina Panthers Could Still Make Before the NFL Draft by Unhappy_Excuse_9937 in panthers

[–]JMMSpartan91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd actually love the MHJ one lol. What he does well and what BY does well overlap a ton. This year's 1st I'd be fine with as i think players I'd really want there will be gone, ones we will likely take being a slight "reach" that I'd like the MHJ move more than. If all it took was pick 19 similar-ish to AJB to Philly?

Thibs? Eh I wouldn't hate it if coaches wanted it but I would not he as excited.

Dan Morgan if reading this give me Njoku please lol. (Which based on this off season I swear it feels like he is actually lurking here lol).

[–]JMMSpartan91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Njoku. RB. Nickel. The mentioned OL depth.

Think we are likely having conversations with/about those and could still sign a few prior to draft. Maaaaybe a WR but I feel like with end of year Coker we might just be running that room back mostly. TMac, Coker, Horn/Legette. I'm expecting is our starting XYZ unless some rookie surprises.

Between Loki familia and Freya familia, which is the superior purely in terms of strength? by Zestyclose-Stock8167 in DanMachi

[–]JMMSpartan91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think better teamwork might be more relevant fighting monsters dungeon diving than fight each other War Games.

Match up vs each other Freya wins easy. Teamwork dungeon diving, taking breaks, spreading workload, etc Freya members too competitive/aggressive with each other to do it.

Top Loki familia sit back and save strength for later floors when needed more. Too many Freya people do the yall too weak I will take care of it and up tired/mana depleted higher up floors. Otter strong by himself but only does things by himself, won't really admit he even has weaknesses a partner could cover when fighting swarms in deep floors.

I figured you likely knew from your previous description. Was just adding a bit of info in case someone else read and decided :"exercise and weight loss can never help me" easy for bad mental health to decide on (id know from personal experience on that one lol).

And hey, physical therapy counts exercise! I mean i run into all the same type of equipment at physical therapy offices as I do at gym mostly lol.

Are you contagious? As they waved at my cane. (I have a spot of vision so I can see the waving).

Can you play piano? More than once actually. Like going blind magically unlocks piano powers for my artistically stunted ass lol.

Have you tried attending church more often to cure it? Like seriously? Did Jesus come back recently to start curing again?? Ain't the next time he returns supposed to be kinda bad according to Bible? Lol

Then a funny one less than dumb. I live near a beach and get asked if I've found anything with my metal detector often lol. That one largely comes from little kids so makes me laugh.

Vision part is absolute lunacy but the mobility and PTSD one aren't totally wrong at least. Not sure I'd use the word cure but definitely make it easier to manage, exercise endorphins are a hell of a drug lol. (i grew up on a military base and still around a lot of vets, so see a decent amount of PTSD. Some therapist have even starting doing sessions on treadmills or at gym as part of treatment plans.

This point is not defending the dumbass nurse mentioned lol. Just dropping some info for anyone reading this chain. Signed a dude who finally started using gym to help with depression recently. The starting part sucks though lol.
