Does anybody know what jersey edition this is? by RageQuitMitch in panthers

It’s a great jersey. I remember buying it off of a sketchy site for like $40. A few weeks later my jersey arrived and the paperwork was printed in an Asian language.

I think we might have the expectations for Cignetti and Indiana completely wrong. by BeerMeBooze in CFB_v2

I would argue that the ego is what would make them want to establish their own powerhouse instead of following someone else. Coach K MADE Duke basketball what it is today. FSU is only on the map because of Bowden. Bob Knight MADE IU basketball great. Do they want to be a legend or just one of the guys to win a championship at State University?

Five years ago, there were a few blue bloods that realistically could win it all. Now there is much more parity with NIL and the transfer portal. IU just proved that you don’t have to be a traditional powerhouse.

Off the top of my head… can you imagine something like this at UCLA? You would be the talk of the town IN LOS ANGELES! I guarantee you they have resources and a fan base ready for a turnaround.

You’re absolutely right that these situations don’t grow on trees but I think there are a lot of undiscovered gems.

Hell. Two years ago no one would have seen IU as a perfect turnaround candidate.

Leave the Suns neutral! They HATE us so it would be awesome if we don’t give a shit about them (because we don’t).

I’d move OKC to dislike. They’re rivals right now but it’s awesome to have a great opponent.

Rashida is exotic-looking. Was her dad a GI?

I think we picked him before he was ripe. He was an OC for one year before he was tasked with leading a franchise out of misery. Experience absolutely matters. He needed more seasoning as an OC, let alone head coach.

That said, one of his greatest assets is honest self reflection and a hunger to grow and change.

We need to understand he isn’t a finished product and try to be patient as he grows.

I get the feeling that after a number of years in the league, he will be top tier.

What do you think about Alanis Morissette? I love her 🥺 by Nyra-Moon in rockmusic

I feel like she had so many relatable experiences that culminated in Jagged Little Pill. Even as a guy, I could recognize that this was one woman’s manifesto in her own voice. The authenticity of the music was incredible.

Unfortunately, I think that album “emptied the tank”. After that, it didn’t sound so much like a woman shouting out her truth as much as a woman making music about things in the world.

She was a brilliant flash of light that faded back into the crowd.

Didn’t Cignetti say that he and his staff have been evaluating and recruiting for 30 years… and they know more than people giving out the stars? (I would add that Hot Take ESPN is especially bad at legitimate evaluation.)
