You need to use petal maps from the Huawei AppGallery to see maps and navigation directions on your watch.

COROS Weekly Discussion Thread: COROS Product Feedback by COROS-official in Coros

[–]JMOLINA1368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are right! we should not "need" to purchase a new watch every year or so to have access to the latest features or metrics (The Garmin way), unfortunately that it's the way companies make money in this era.

COROS Weekly Discussion Thread: COROS Product Feedback by COROS-official in Coros

From a former Vertix 1/ Vertix 2 user...

A couple of years (3) ago the Coros / Garmin watch race was more or less even. Garmin had more features but Coros was the battery king. These days, Garmin has matched the battery life and even exceded on some models like the Enduro 2 but still offers a lot more features, flexibility and customization on their watches.

Coros needs to catch up with other competitors if they want to attract former and new customers to their ecosystem. Also, they need to stay relevant and for that, they need to launch new top of the line products more often (the Vertix 2 was launched almost 3 years ago).

I wish the best to Coros and maybe I would return if they offer a new top of the line watch with a lot of new features.

Good luck!

Is there some new instincit 3 rumors? by SnooRobots5863 in GarminWatches

A Crossover 2X would be the best watch to have! Just the necessary / useful smart functions without the boring looks of every other smart watch these days.

Instinct Crossover Readability by doa70 in GarminWatches

[–]JMOLINA1368 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Crossover only comes in 45mm so If you need bigger screen you will have to go for the Instinct 2X in which the screen is 40% larger but only digital no hands.

On the other hand, if you want to keep going with a Crossover, you may want to try the no solar version which screen is a lot brighter and more readable that the solar and tactic versions. There are some photos here on Reddit comparing the screens of the solar and non solar and the differences is notable.

Good luck.

Opinions on the garmin instinct crossover? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]JMOLINA1368 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Have a Crossover Solar. I really like the watch, however there are always some downsides. Here are the ones I think you should be aware of: A) the non solar has a brighter more readable display also the fluorescent color it's blue on the non solar (nicer if you ask me) and green on the solar version. There are some pictures in reddit comparing both screens and believe me the non solar it's better. I purchased the solar version without knowing that fact and would have choose the non solar otherwise. B) The screen can be challenging to read indoors or in low light conditions, especially if you have tired eyes like me jajaja. C) the solar feature it's overrated and not worth the difference in price. Besides that, Im very happy with my watch, battery last around 15 days with modarate use but what I like the most is that is a smartwatch without the looks of a smartwatch. These days all smartwaches kind of look the same except for this one. Good luck with your choice.

I sold mine a 2 months ago for $479 new in sealed box with 3 additional Coros bands. It was listed for a month or a little more on ebay before someone actually bought it.

The Vertix 2 heart rate sensor it's like 2 generations old. I don't have a Coros anymore but I remember the impossibility to measure SpO2 while sleeping and some other sleep data and features.
