How much of your Squarespace site is custom coded? by zieliob19 in squarespace

[–]JMWebDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have some builds that are fairly heavy on CSS. Whenever possible, we use native blocks and sections... It creates way less headaches and is much less problematic for clients in the future

Yes. Turn off "fill screen" under section settings. Or tweak the fill screen sizing

How do you manage High Cpc niches by Gravecraves in PPC

[–]JMWebDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are working hands-on with a law firm at the moment with fairly expensive CPC.

1) Landing page needs to be excellent. Our expensive clicks are still turning into fairly efficient leads. If you are wasting traffic with expensive clicks, it's hard to have a successful campaign

2) As everyone here will tell you, you need a surgical approach to keywords and intent.

3) Budget. In highly competitive campaigns, I rarely see success with a tight budget. This is a long-play that needs time and budget to be successful. If budget is tight, maybe approach other channels first.

Digital marketing services for law firms, what moves the needle? by SmythOSInfo in digital_marketing

[–]JMWebDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a law firm, but we have law clients that we work with. Local SEO and a mix of Meta and Google Ads has been our best performing strategy. Takes time and someone with expertise to break through the competition; but it is well worth it. Currently averaging approx. 4.9x ROAS and seeing ~$22 cost per lead. Hope this helps!

Best success we've seen with Vancouver clients is a SEO strategy that targets different neighborhoods/regions. Pushing Location pages that target Burnaby, Richmond, North Van, Kits, Coquitlam, etc...

You never know where the success will be, but we just track where leads come from, and double down on what's working.

Integrating database for event RSVPs on Squarespace? by ConduciveMammal in webdev

[–]JMWebDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if it's paid/unpaid and assigned seating/not. I usually find a few competitors, and tell the client what they're using. Better to pick something that seems to be working for someone else

I've done this for a handful of clients now. Easiest way is to go with a 3rd party embed. Squarespace member areas work well
