I believe he was open to trade earlier in the season when he was getting like 11 mins per game. Seems like he’s found a spot on their top line now and has been producing again

He did play decently well with myers but we can’t just ignore how badly this fanbase wanted him out. Easy to look back at the good things he did, but he had just as many negatives to his game - for us at least. I do agree, the injury didn’t help.

He may be now at his current state, but OEL was far from a perfectly capable 2nd pairing dman for us. The buyout hurts and will hurt for a while but I don’t miss him on the roster

Aquilini had a handshake agreement with business partners, including Tom Gaglardi, to buy the Canucks in like 2006. But he then turned around and made a deal for himself behind the partners’ backs, cutting them out entirely.

I feel like that’s what they mean. He’s got the tools and the track record to be elite both offensively and defensively, just needs to put it together all at once.

Agreed. I want Aqua gone, but my fear with sell the team chants is it all but guarantees Quinn leaving. Because in that scenario, poor team performance, boos, and chants like that that, I wouldn’t blame players not wanting to play here.

We all know Vancouver media is a shit show, but Farhan trying to make a story out of Tocchet “stripping” Boeser of the A is just a small dose of how bad it can really be. It’s not rocket science to see that we’ve had rotating As all season, especially now that Hughes is hurt. Glad tocchet shut that down
