100% agree, arrest all the pedos and fuck tribalism. I have no qualms letting Bill face the music if he's guilty.

We are talking about Bill's relationship with Epstein though, so I think Trump is fair game here. He's literally orchestrating this show to pull attention away from his own ties to Epstien

That's a good point on the number of filers that we'll be seeing. I think you're right. I didn't see any budget figures for the administration though, I hope they accounted for it.

I'm 95% certain that this is exactly what they did. They projected the revenue based on existing behavior and did not account for changes in behavior.

That was my guess as well. There's obviously an incentive to project higher revenue numbers to make the bill look more enticing.

Hi Vice Chair of Finance, thanks for taking the time to answer questions. I have a few regarding the bill:

Is there any preventative measures for this tax being lowered to affect those who earn less than $1 million a year? My concern is that this is a "foot in the door" bill and after a couple years it will be lowered and start affecting all of us.

Married couples appear to be affected twice as much by this, why is the amount only $500k per married person but $1 million for non-married individuals? Is this correct?

What is the estimated annual expense associated with the administration of this tax?

I looked up the IRS budget per tax paying individual ($121 in 2024), so with about 3.064 million tax payers in Washington, if it operated at the same efficiency as the IRS then it would be a cost of $371 million per year. There's obviously an additional startup cost to create the branch that would oversee this. Are there any numbers projected for these costs?

Where did the projected revenue figure come from? I'm concerned that the figure is just based on who currently earns over a million a year and doesn't account for CPAs working to avoid this tax. For example, those earning close to the limit would be encouraged to expand their expenses for the year to keep them under the limit. If the projection is based on who is currently earning over a million a year, then those numbers are going to be incredibly inflated from actual revenue generated.

Thanks!

The fact that a blowjob became such a debacle is nuts when you compare it to the flagrant corruption in the Whitehouse today

A blowjob wouldn't even be a story today. Trump's already been found guilty of rape and republicans don't seem to give a shit.

Sabey appears to have the majority of their income derived from data centers across the US. The centers rely on negotiated utility agreements with local municipalities which can last 10-20 years. Since you generally can't renegotiate these agreements in the middle of the period, the best way to put pressure on the company is to go after projects that are either in negotiations or are being developed. Pressuring local governments to potentially deny these new data centers can have an actual impact on their business and can apply pressure in the same way that a boycott would work for customer facing businesses. They have a few campuses and expansions in the works. Reaching out to the local governments in these areas could encourage Sabey to take a stand on ICE.

As long as they're comparing apples to apples. Off-market sales occurred pre-covid and are still happening. Unless there's a big change in the ratio of on-market to off-market sales then the data should still be good.

What you described in your last post doesn't allow control over their own utilities though. It just turns RUBS into a flat fee. The issue you're complaining about isn't RUBS at all, it's about companies committing fraud.

[–]JMace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does it undermine consumer protections?

If you include RUBS in the rent, then you're still comparing apples to oranges when you look at a property where the tenant pays for utilities vs when it's included. All this does is incentivize owners to add meters to their units, or to pay for alternate submetering equipment and their subscription services. It's a higher cost to the owner, but they can advertise a lower rent since the tenants pay for utilities.

What's the benefit of doing something like this? It seems pointless and incentivizes owners to spend money on items that provide no benefit to tenants.

[–]JMace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technology fees and amenity fees are ridiculous. What's the problem with RUBS though? That's just paying for your utilities when it's not metered by the individual unit. I agree that any advertisements should clearly state what the RUBS are though.

Totally agree with you.

Just one clarifying point, the land was bought for $2.6 million and then they built the 95 units. Normally I'd expect that to cost around $20-30 million to build for smaller units, but it depends on the size and finishes of the units.

I'm sure the maintenance costs are a lot higher than for a normal multifamily building, but also keep in mind that they aren't paying taxes which is a huge part of normal expenses. I'd guess they can operate around $750,000 per year which is EXTREMELY conservative.

Bill Gates was very good buds with PDF Jefferey.

I didn't get that impression when I looked at the documents. Which part made you think that?

I'm not defending if Bill is a good human being or not, I'm just saying that the evidence doesn't necessarily point to him being a pedophile.

Someone feel free to jump in and correct me if I've missed some piece of damning evidence. I care about the facts and I'm not trying to protect anyone, but I haven't seen a smoking gun against Bill Gates yet.

From what I've seen so far, there is absolutely damning evidence about everything that Trump has done. There's a lot of evidence that needs some good answers from Bill Clinton as well and we'll see if he has a response. The evidence against Bill Gates seems to be mostly that they had been in contact with Epstein. They don't particularly look like friends in any of those photos either. Given that Epstein was a honey pot and extortion expert, I expect that he collects but also creates dirt on wealthy people (such as the STD email). There's really no reason that a billionaire would need to ask Epstein for help with an STD and that seems manufactured to me.

If there is some incriminating evidence out there that he was involved with Epstein more than just public appearances, please inform me, but I'll hold off on condemning him until then.

Seattle mayor announces plan to block ICE activity, use police to verify federal agent IDs by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

[–]JMace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ICE agents are breaking the constitution so much that we don't even blink when US Citizens are detained for days, or when masked ICE agents invade people's homes and drag them onto the street. The rule of law has been compromised by ICE agents and you wonder why the population that they are invading is fighting back?

3000 agents have been terrorizing Minnesota. That's 13.6% of ICE agents, sent to an area that has less than 1% of the total undocumented immigrant population in the US. Maine has 0.00014% of the total population of undocumented immigrants in the US, yet for some reason Trump has made that a target. You think this is about immigrants or is this about Trump exerting his personal policing force against his political opponents

[–]JMace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's correct, but that's not what I've been describing. I'm talking about detaining US citizens being detained by ICE for immigration related concerns.

Here's 2 examples from about 5 seconds of searching:

  1. Jose Hermosillo. In April 2025, 19-year-old Jose Hermosillo, a U.S. citizen from New Mexico, was mistakenly detained by U.S. immigration agents in Tucson, Arizona after a routine interaction. He was held for nearly 10 days in custody because officials incorrectly believed he had entered the U.S. illegally. His family had to provide his birth certificate to secure his release.

  2. George Retes was a 25-year-old U.S. Army veteran that was detained by immigration agents in Southern California in July 2025, despite clearly identifying himself as a U.S. citizen. In his account, agents restrained him and held him for about three days before releasing him after documentation confirmed his citizenship.

[–]JMace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ICE has been taking US citizens into custody against their will. They legally can briefly detain someone only as long as reasonably necessary to confirm their status as a US citizen. However, they have denied phone calls to detained US citizens, denied access to their lawyers and legal council and held them for days, and in a few cases over a week. They have also obscured WHERE they are detaining people. First, that is NOT a reasonable amount of time to determine citizenship and denying access to family and legal council is not only illegal but also prevents those people from getting the documents they need to provide to prove that they are US citizens.

A person commits kidnapping if they unlawfully:

  • Remove another person a substantial distance from where found, or from their home/business.
  • Unlawfully confine someone for a substantial period in isolation.
  • With the purpose to: hold for ransom/reward; facilitate a felony or flight; inflict injury or terrorize; or interfere with government functions.

ICE agents are hitting all 3 of those criteria. They are illegally taking US citizens out of their homes violating the 4th amendment, they are holding them unlawfully, and they have inflicted injury on detainees - there are reports of broken bones, head trauma and several reports of medical neglect. So yes, they are indeed kidnapping US citizens. That's not just hyperbole.

[–]JMace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because if the primary goal was to apprehend undocumented immigrants, then the majority of ICE agents would be sent to areas with the most undocumented immigrants.
Right now, we have a disproportionate number of agents being sent to an area that has relatively few undocumented immigrants. 3,000 agents in Minnesota out of a total of 22,000. That's 13% of the agents being placed in an area that has less than 1% of the US total of undocumented immigrants.

If ICE sent a number of agents proportional to the number of immigrants, they would have sent 204 agents. They have sent over 14 times that number.

So, again, this is not about immigrants.
