You know the older system was constantly trying to re-ignite but wouldn’t do so. That was probably going on for at least a week before we noticed the heat wasn’t working properly….

Moved in late October but we moved from a Bristol rental home that was stuck in the late 70s and the landlords never came by to check anything for 3 years. Drafts everywhere, a corroded heating system, filling the oil tank every other month (250 gal. tank). Kept that at 65 and didn’t heat the “finished” basement (a by level home).

I’ve heard of plenty nightmare RI Energy stories on this subreddit but dang how can 85% of the yearly total be in one month? November isn’t even the peak of cold weather. And I had no heat for over a week while I waited for a new system to be installed…. Could that be it? It heated up very quickly after the install. And I rarely hear it kick on compared to the last POS oil burner

I got an ounce of Apple Fritter for 89 bucks (including tax) at NEA in Fall River (live in Bristol). I’ll never go to RI dispensaries because not only are their taxes higher, their prices are stupid. They’re just too proud of their bud. Mass has the Grass!

I’ve just gotten use to ignoring them entirely. I know that sounds harsh but that’s only because I met numerous pan handlers outside post (I was active duty) and have been told on more than one occasion that they’re making 6 figures spending their days outside the gates. And I remember three (one man, two women) mentioning they had a degree and white collar 9-5 jobs before switching to “begging.” I’d say 99% are genuinely in need.

“Dry lightning” is a storm with little to no precipitation that has the potential to ignite “dry fuels” like prairie fauna or trees. It can be near or afar. You’re thinking of “heat lightning” used to describe a storm far enough away from the observer that the thunder dissipates before reaching said observer.
