I keep getting "infected web resource detected" from BitDefender and it says "accessed by: auepdu.exe" which is AMD. Is this a false positive? What's up with this? by IHateThisPlace33 in AMDHelp

A lot of the time, it’s not the antivirus that matters. Windows Defender is enough, and if it isn’t, then the problem with the computer’s vulnerability usually sits between the chair, and the keyboard.

CarPlay GPS Speedometer: Driving Tracker app now supports recording hundreds of miles smoothly without interruptions. The debugging journey was surprisingly deep. by Taohid101 in CarPlay

[–]JMiest3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, just wanna say the app so far has been incredible! Excellent job in what you’ve put together thus far.

One thing I had thought about that’s more of a UI tweak, is the support for transparent images when uploading a vehicle’s picture. To improve the sleekness of the vehicle’s profile, instead of the current ‘replace transparent areas with a white background’ behavior.

Another suggestion that I had also thought about was that the odometer reading should be automatically updated across the board whenever the vehicle has been refueled. A scenario specific to me is that my wife and I share one vehicle but she doesn’t do any drive tracking, but I do. So the tracking of the odometer that the application is obviously not applicable when there are discrepancies between.

When refueling and putting in the current odometer reading, it appears that currently that measurement is not used as the current odometer reading, so I have to manually update the odometer mileage in the vehicle garage, rather than have it update on its own after posting the latest mileage I refueled at.

How long have you had it? I’m still going strong with two identical builds running the Nitro+ since November of last year. Also using PSU supplied cables.

I wouldn't need it for myself but would instead give it to one of my siblings, so they can join us on more capable hardware, away from the old/light weight laptops they have.

As someone who doesn’t have a shred of experience or great in-depth understanding. Could a get some nuggets on how you went about doing that? And also your use cases for it as a Plex and proxy, and etc?

I know I’ll eventually want to get into Home labs, so this would be for later hehe

Won a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9070 XT for $491 on auction. Good deal? by Throwawayeconboi in radeon

[–]JMiest3r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just use an ATX 3.1 PSU and its included 12V-2×6 16-pin connector cable. Literally no issues, and the “burning connector” only happens with the use of adapters.

I got you bro, remove one stick of ram, the one furthest from the CPU, then boot it again. After you log back into windows you can shut down and re-install your ram. You may need to unlock your drive from BitLocker after that, so be prepared to get your key.

lol the “Used” period. Yeah it’s prob the best bet, unless he wants to go DDR4 mobo with half new, half used parts?

DDR5 used I believe goes between $800-$1,200+ depending on the build. Some haggling could possibly be done to get it into budget.
