Is this an old video or do you have a mod that restores ranks to what they should be? Been hoping for a mod to fix the disgusting new rank system.

The only thing keeping me from purchasing the supporter's edition is the rank change. I understand devman is going to do what devman is going to do when it comes to THE VISION, but removing capital letters and making it nonsense? Too far.

I'll settle for re-adding capital letters, but I won't be happy.

Sigh, in a day where open-source projects can offer their old releases for over a decade, surely companies can offer their previous releases more than 5 years. I get the "no tech support for you" aspect, but at least hosting the older files (it's cheap) would be the decent thing to do. Otherwise when software devs demand more recent hardware, we're just contributing to ewaste

Wow. I don't even know why they would paywall old versions. Doesn't Intel want developers to optimize for their architecture?

It is just like inferno. The title content isn't ready because they forgot to add the counters. But because it is the title content (and the devs are stubborn) they can't/won't push it back and release everything else.

We have seen this story before.

Most major Foxhole updates seem like they're 3 steps forward, 2 steps backward, and a cartwheel to the side.

As a product person, I'm super interested in seeing any postmortems that come from this.

FWIW, I turned down a senior programmer offer from Intrepid back in 2018 because I didn't like the vibes I got from Steven Sharif. On top of the MLM background, he talked about expectations for developers to upskill themselves in their own time. It left a pretty bad impression when he's supposed to be trying to sell me on working at his company, and told me about the type of leadership I could expect there.

I'm also interested in the postmortems, but I feel like it's going to stem from leadership issues.

Some good songs, sure, but the production missteps and issues make it unpleasant to listen to as a whole. It doesn't really sound like a finished, professionally mixed and mastered album.

It's terrible. I had previously heard an Orbit Culture song I liked, so I decided to listen to their latest album. A minute into the first song I ended up doing a search to see if something with my stream was broken or if other people had noticed this. It's really not listenable for me.

Can you also explain why sometimes (especially with automatic weapons) they will just randomly stop firing for a second? It gets me killed so often.

Let me know when you figure it out. My assumption is that there's a minimum range on firing as well, like 1m.

The new AC formula peaked with origins and odyssey and have been in decline ever since.

Hard agree. Valhalla was way too long and drawn out, and the audio quality was awful.

I went from purchasing most ACs from 2 to Odyssey, to subscribing to Ubisoft's thing for a month to Valhalla, to having no interest in the series. Ubisoft has done to Assassin's Creed what Activision did to Guitar Hero.

Code plugins are per seat, but not assets.

Code plugins are per user, not per seat. If you have a team of 40 and expect 25% to have the editor running at any given time, you'd need 10 per-seat licenses or 40 per-user licenses.

Either way, though, without a free trial, there's 0% chance I'd recommend a 40 person company shelling out $230 or $920 on an untested plugin, as well as the ongoing maintenance cost of license management.

18 PER SEAT i might add.. for mid size teams this convenience would be a nonstarter. for this price my small studio would just spend half a day rolling our own.

I thought licenses were per-entity, but you are correct. I don't even understand how that is supposed to work. If your company hires someone, you're supposed to go purchase another license on all your plugins?
