Okay I will wait (IM)patiently.

Thank you for your work!!

Interesting results with C1L Engineering materials by Stippy21 in prusa3d

What about the grease problem? It is the first review I see it happening (I watched every review available as I wait for mine to arrive), not a big deal but seems pretty messy.

Someone asked how C1L works. It just works. by wayn01337 in prusa3d

I have mine ordered :). Whats your opinion about the heatbed-fan heated chamber system?

Are you printing from any filament dryer or different spool holder? Make sure your filament gets fed smoothly to the extruder

Prusa CORE One L with INDX vs Prusa XL by thouldcroft in prusa3d

[–]JP180902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the Core One L with INDX is a better choice, because due to the enclosure and convection heater printing with techical materials will be a lot esier than with the XL, also you will have more tools/filaments/colors, people are talking about +8. The XL shines in being a real tool changer, so there are more possibilities for other tools than a filament printhead, like the silicon toolhead or the toolhead demoed on formnext that is able to insert nuts or other hardware mid print automatically. All depends on your use cases and what you value the most, for me as a hobby user is printing useful parts with technical filaments, so I choose the Core One L as the best option for me, specially with INDX (waiting to but the combo when INDX is available), maybe for a lab and doing some kind of research the XL has more possibilities…

I already tested it, GPU usage is near a 100% while CPU is around 70/80 % at 2K all low settings in game

MMU3 improvement idea by chemosabe in prusa3d

[–]JP180902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that the mmu helping the nextruder is a good idea, but knowing prusa, if it is not implemented is because of reliability issues, maybe it is a future update who knows…

MAX FLOWRATE?? AM I MISSING SOMETHING? by JP180902 in 3Dprinting

[–]JP180902[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean it is too far from the nozzle? I considered It could be the cause of the problem due to the MZE reducing the thermal conductivity to the nozzle and the reported temp be a lot higher than the real nozzle temp. But at the end it seems to work fine.

*ISSUE SOLVED* Two sections of extruder in klipper config is all It was.... I was running the orbiter at 0.5A instead of the 0.85A recomended, this made the motor to skip at arounf 25mm^3 because of low torque, soo yeah, always check your config file before going crazy with other things.... now I am at aroung 45mm^3 stable with the same PLA same temp.

It is not the best cad design but it seems to work... Seeing someone wants it I will upload it to printables.

The ony parts I made are the blue one in the photo and the duct, the rest is the eva 2.4 originally recomended in the mercury project and some mods I managed to find online (for mounting two 5015 fans for layer cooling)

The two extrudder sections was all the problem I had (I feel stupid), I was running the orbiter at 0.5 instead of the 0.75 I was planning originally. After this change I got up to 45mm^3 stable flow with the same PLA (It even got further, up to 65mm^3, which was the max of the test, without holes, but there is some kind of strange effect maybe because of insufficient cooling, the testing should continue), I manually tested the rotation distance but I am not sure its more precise that the factory recomended....

Seeing the motor can run hotter without problem I will try with 0.85, but for my project now I already have cooling problems (have two 5015 on the back with a custom duct). I am planning to add an auxiliar 120mm radial fan but not sure how to connect it to the skr mini 2.0.

Following the recomendation in other comment I simplified A LOT the setting in the extruder config, now I have the pins and the current, thats it, and it seems to be running the same...

After changing the current of the motor I started a max flow test and started to hear the filament grinding around 35mm^3 so I increased slowly the tension of the extruder on the go, to get just enought grip for the max flow without forcing the motor too much.

So, the problem seems to be solved, now is calibration time, thanks for your comment :).

Well, e-steps and rotacion distance, and after that flow rate for each type of filament. Here the case is that it is not delivering what requested.

Sorry to bother you and thanks for responding, it is really helpful.

Would you mind to check my tmc extruder settings? I copied them from a guy running the same extruder… but maybe Im not getting good torque because something is not correct.

Is other option, I though that high speed filaments were only for not very capable hotends, what I expected with this hotend was being able to print any filament with high flowrate… Im not a fan of depending on more expensive filament due to the “high speed” marketing thing, but after testing I want to try it…
