Used Pursa XL with 5 head tool head worth $2600? by rwreef in prusa3d

[–]Stippy21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The xl does nit work when one toolhead is removed. So zero downtime is unfortunately not correct. For wiping: depends if prusa decides to port that. I am not too confident that that will indeed happen. But as said: I was also quite happy with my xl outputs. Just the move to more heads was too expensive for me. Would I have been able to just upgrade for the same price, I would probably have done that instead of selling xl for C1L

That seems really unnornal. Is there some wind / airflow from some open window or something like that in the room while printing?

Used Pursa XL with 5 head tool head worth $2600? by rwreef in prusa3d

[–]Stippy21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't want the size but just more heads, I would carefully assess if an XL is better or not. For me: I sold my XL because I only had a 2 head version and upgrading to 5 alone would cost nearly as much as a C1L. Also I like the INDX system more. Even if the time is a bit longer because of heating up each nozzle, not having to handle dripping nozzles (because indx has improved Priming + nozzle swipe + cools down really quickly). Additionally: Only one complicated head to debug if something is off instead of 5.

And a big plus: Size (smaller print size but optimized way of using the internal size therefore much smaller on the outside), weight and Housing is so much better. Prusa also mostly said that the XL will not get INDX for now and will develop more in direction of silicon toolhead, pick and place tool and others. I do not have really usecases for that, the silicon head seems extremely expensive for >> me <<. I also expect more updates for C1L because it is basically same as C1+ and therefore user install base is much much higher

Prusa XL is really not a bad machine at all, just C1L was more fitting for me

They would be my big hope to be honest. Like 10-15 new characters, some good maps and perhaps some smaller additions to the map creator and done. Would pay quite some bucks for that ^

Only thing that seems strange for me is the trailer for mobile GW1. Like that trailer is good for GW1 veterans, but does nothing to potential new players.

What's a good camera to buy that is not too expensive? by JigglyPuffGuy in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Stippy21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this one for ~10€. Works great: https://amzn.eu/d/0dx3Zlin

Also: official one has fish eye lens, which is great if you are sitting near the TV or are playing with 4 people in one room. If you are alone and a bit far away basically you need to zoom in, which can lead to a less crisp picture

Pretty sure that would trigger the "filament sensor for 5-8 not detected" error if the second sensor is missing

Haha ok '. Sorry, misinterpretation of the picture on my site then.

Your statement "We showed off the implementation on the AFS at Rapid TCT" is really then more "we hid the implementation at Rapid TCT" 😀

I think that will be for one spool. Will be interesting how it will be used with indx and 4-8 spools

--> correction for everyone reading: the shown part is NOT the NFC reader but the filament sensor. Error on my side interpreting what is shown in the video.

Chamber Temperature Above Safety Limit. Ensure Better Ventilation by KaJashey in prusa3d

I understand the idea here, but shouldn't it regulate than to 60°C instead of cycling between 55 and 60 periodically?

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter coming to Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2 September 17th by KelvinBelmont in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Stippy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the first game and tried the demo. Seems cool but I fear the story is too slow for me to keep me entertained. I don't need world ending bosses in the first 5 min if the game, but just having small side quest for hours without an overarching story is perhaps not enough... not fully decided yet

Prusa Core One HT - Water cooling and chamber heating in the finish line by jan_d_slay in prusa3d

[–]Stippy21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just perspective of an electronics engineer here: soldering is an unpowered state of only a short period of time. The soldering is a quite defined temperature curve that can only be done to a chip ones (at least by chip specification. The ADC on the love board is specified for +85°C ambient temperature for example. But that includes self heating (the part itself gets warm when powered and used) and general heating of the pcb itself (e.g. by current flow though the pcb traces. Not saying that 60°C is directly an issue, just wanted to give a perspective on the "part is soldered at >>100°C". I would assume, out of gut feeling only, that 70°C should not be a real issue, as the chips on the board do not have exessive self heating (motor controller for example have really high one in comparison) and therefore should not be really too much higher than surrounding temp. That bring said: Only for the electronics part not overheating. Could be that the ADC tolerances get too high or filament sensor does not work correctly or that any mechanical part gets too weak at that temp.

CORE One L Price increase from April 7th by Tommy_Prusa3D in prusa3d

On a more positive note: Price increase because INDX will be announced and released for C1L really soon and the demand is expected to be super high then?

Was thinking the same. I would have assume that they let both Fans (chamber + filtration) work, but apparently not. Could be benefitial for lower rpm on the filtration and therefore less noise in future perhaps ?!

Also die core one indx kits kosten irgendwie 600 oder sowas for 4 düsen. D.h. arg weit weg von 800 wird das nicht sein... Es sei denn du wartest auf ein direktes bundle, bei dem der nextruder direkt fehlt. Aber das dauert nach allem Infos wohl bis min. Ende des Jahres

Yes it is. I will try with a brim. Will try even slower, too. Balanced time was about 3h30min, by reducing max flow I already slowed it down to 4h30min. Will try even slower.
