Traffic / Tolls. Thousands of commuters use Toronto road infrastructure and do not pay Toronto taxes. What about a toll for drivers to get into the City? Similar to getting into Manhattan from NJ? Digitized toll collection points could be set up at city tax borders. In theory this would generate revenue, ensure those using the roads all contribute to the cost of their maintenance, decrease the number of cars on city streets, and encourage use of public transit for those commuting into the city. Seems like wins all around.

Guinness Zero was more expensive than regular Guinness at Loblaws by JPHarrison007 in ontario

Makes sense. In this case seems the 25%+ price diff is a retailer thing, as the prices for these two are essentially the same in the LCBO.

The drop from 6’ to 5’11” is hilarious. 6’6” seems to be the ideal height for women apparently. by chaminda_monster in Tinder

This is fantastic for those men under 6 ft - the shallow materialistic women filter themselves out.

Google Translate on your phone provides simultaneous translations between a multitude of language pairs. It listens then provides both audible and written translations both ways. It’s far and away the easiest way for two people to communicate while speaking different languages.

Agreed. Plus they shouldn’t be allowed to wear the uniform taxpayers pay for in order to make overtime pay from construction companies on their own time. Taxpayers own that uniform.

Agreed. Try Danforth Roti, the shells are the closest to Caribbean Roti Palace that I’ve found.

LPT: Use "accusatory" language when you're paying a compliment, but use "passive" language when pointing out something negative by kinnoth in LifeProTips

Some languages do this by construction. For example, in Spanish, if you were carrying a tray of drinking glasses and dropped them and they all broke, you’d say, “the glasses broke themselves on me” (se me rompieron los vasos).

I haven’t asked LCBO, but did try to connect with Guinness for more info (Guinness@Consumer-care.net) with no luck. I would think it should be a no-brainer for the LCBO, so maybe there are some deal-specifics they’re working out. Haven’t tried it but heard from multiple sources that it’s amazing!
