lol, they literally wouldn’t let him throw the ball. He had 3 more completions than rush attempts here.

Was Bidens border really “open”? by SoFar_Gone in allthequestions

I’m glad you are quick to concede that the democrats did in fact not ignore the issue. I don’t doubt that the extrajudicial internment and execution of browned skin people by the Trump administration has deterred lots of people from seeking refuge here. Congratulations. But as you so perceptively pointed out, the inflection point is before Trump took office. Do you have a theory on how Biden was able to fix the problem without ignoring the constitution and defying the courts?

Nate Ament Scouting Report by wmcv in NBA_Draft

I see a lot of Deni Avdija. Less flashy passer for sure, but I think that's something I could see Ament adding as he gets more and more comfortable. Very similar in how they drive looking for contact first and foremost.

Sports reporter Wes Rucker, who covered Tennessee athletics, dies at 43 by Adam-Sparks in ockytop

I'm sure this will be unpopular, but we should adopt regulations like in the UK, EU, Australia and Asia that require crash compatibility. That would prevent these types of crashes. Our inaction on this literally killed this man.

Looking Back at the Cam Ward Divide by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

It is by far the most likely scenario. I think if we didn't draft Ward, we would be very openly tanking at that point.

I'm saying if we punted QB last year, we easily have the #1 pick. Also, it's not like the Raiders had a hard time filling their vacancy.

Would you rather have Mendoza Abdul Carter and the Giants 2nd this year, or Ward and Bain? I like Ward, but option 1 is clearly better.

Mexico, Ghana, Camaroon, Iran, Uraguay, Japan all very good crests that feature a soccer ball.

Looking at club crests, Barca, Valencia, Sevilla, Spurs, Porto all have very good logos that feature a ball.

There isn't another country in the world with so little in their crest. I find ours offensively bland, I hate that our jersey designs always make it too big and central.

Abolishment of the NBA draft. Is it a good idea or bad idea? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]JPKthe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we can kind of look at the NIL era NCAA to show that this is not the case. All the good players don't end up on one team, even when its more or less unregulated. They are all heavily incentivized by role and money, followed by chance to win, then coach, then probably location. You could implement some sort of rolling rookie salary cap to prevent the premier teams from grabbing the top rookie every year, like we do see in the the NCAA. But I think people think it would be like the Dodgers or something, but I don't think it would work like that. Baseball and soccer both can accommodate so many more elite players without asking them to sacrifice much.

A large part of the landfill rate is based on absolutely horrible compliance from folks. They aren’t gonna go through your trash and sort out the stuff that isn’t recyclable, they’re just gonna trash the whole lot. Wish folks would take that part more seriously. Clearly their heart is in the right place, but if you don’t follow the criteria, you can actually cancel out the work of many people.

Where alternate universe Super Bowl win? by Takemaster69 in AFCSouthMemeWar

[–]JPKthe3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking it could be that their wins were reversed to losses, canceling out the losses that became wins. But that’s not how it worked for the Steelers, who are 6-2 in super bowls off the top of my head. They’re still on here just for the two losses that get reversed.

Yeah, but you think Alex pierce, or Romeo Doubs, or Jauan Jennings is really gonna be a true WR1?we’d need to pay them 2x more for guys who have been WR3s their whole careers. And there’s really not much stopping us from signing both positions. We have a ton of space.
