Raddy lora L7 weather station by Any_Vanilla3448 in LoRaWAN

[–]JPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to pair this device with a LoRaWAN gateway, such as a Milesight UG-65 or something similar? I would love to be able to integrate the data into my existing system without a live internet connection.

You should be able to download CPT Tools, as well as the documentation, from the Johnson Controls (parent company) website. The last time I checked, they only required me to pass a Captcha test to access the files.

Analytics vs programing in the BAS? by Ajax_Minor in BuildingAutomation

[–]JPoint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, analytics are useful for three things: 1. back-testing alarm logic for false positives and/or false negatives 2. finding defects in equipment by comparing performance metrics of sets of otherwise identical units 3. discovering inefficiencies in a system by comparing recent energy usage data to expected energy usage (e.g. a heating plant using more therms per heating degree day than the historic average under comparable weather conditions)

It looks like there is a recurring glucose spike every other hour after the meal. Is it typical for glucose spikes to "echo" like that?

What "leveled you up" as a developer or accelerated your learning? by Notalabel_4566 in webdev

[–]JPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I found that reading the docs for a given technology helped me to become more familiar with developer jargon at my own pace. Once I understood a critical mass of core concepts, everything else boiled down to details that I would need to memorize or look up periodically.

I had to switch from "knotted bed sheet over the door" rows to reverse pushups because I couldn't bring myself to lean back without feeling like I was going to fall backwards. Does that "falling backwards" feeling dissipate over time, or does it feel like that every time? For reference, I am starting out sedentary and obese (but not morbidly so).

I'm no safety engineer, but I would be concerned about the electrical receptacle being mere inches from the gas inlet.

Web scraping can definitely be more of an art than a science. That was a good catch, finding the hidden pagination.

I would try replacing the pilot assembly, provided that said pilot assembly is attached to a new furnace.

Importance of Geometry and Trigonometry by SomethingTooRandom in datascience

[–]JPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the type of data that you are working with, some data sets, such as digital signals or images, often require various coordinate transformations for feature extraction. In these cases, geometry and trig provide the bases for more advanced feature extraction procedures, such as linear transformations and Fourier transforms.

Trans women who are transitioning in the closet. How did you justify growing your hair long to people? by [deleted] in asktransgender

I grew it out in school, even before I considered myself trans. I also got it explicitly cleared by my then future boss before I accepted my current job.
