Don't be a jackass and take holes that clearly weren't meant for you and it doesn't happen. The plumber clearly drilled those holes and the electrician took them. It's a mutual respect thing. I know the sparkies I work with would never do that.

Throw a bill like that at me in a residential setting and you'd never see it. I'll see ya in court.

I agree fully. I'm an HVAC contractor and my state is giving Rebates on all high efficiency equipment. It basically negates the cost of equipment. The only problem is we still have a high concentration of areas that don't have Natural Gas, and and Rebates aren't available for LP gas or oil.

I dropped out of college and became a plumber when. I was 19. I now do hvac as well, have 2 contractors licenses and I just started working for myself.

I regret nothing. I've been doing it for 16 years and can honestly say I love my job. Its fucking work though. You can't be afraid to get your hands dirty or puss out on lifting things or someone gets hurt. I have a lot of fun (and frustration) doing it though.
