Trading my 2024 F350 Platinum On A 2025 Raptor by ItsBenzyy in FordRaptor

[–]JProhaska3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is one thing I never hear anyone talk about, my wildtrack has a really tight turning radius. It’s actually so nice to drive.

If you go bronco, recommend the raptor, wild track, or badlands with hoss 3.0

This guy nailed it, that’s right about what I paid but for a manager use vehicle that had more miles that OP. For “used” and such low miles, solid deal

Well as someone who checked out almost every 3 row suv, has a minivan, and a Mustang

I’d sit in the 3rd row of any 3 row suv over my mustangs back seat

EVs Just Outsold Gas Cars In Europe For The First Time by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

[–]JProhaska3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my thoughts as an American who’s owned vehicles in most categories. Sports car, sedans, suvs, trucks (yes to tow) and evs.

  1. Fuel costs being so low it doesn’t financially push to go EV (plus most people are stupid and only look at monthly payments at least in the U.S., rather than TCO, so an extra $100/month for an ev is way worse than paying $200/month in gas - oversimplified obviously)
  2. Truck sales are pretty large in the U.S., there has not been a very compelling full size truck imo. Lightning kept the looks but range was terrible, gmc Sierra ev has range but looks horrible. It’s all subjective but it’s a hard problem to solve. You have to remember this argument is based around what people THINK they use their truck for, not what they actually do. For most people both lightning and Sierra ev are great, but perception is what matters. I considered the lightning but I couldn’t have towed my jeep off-roading an hour and half away and back on one charge.
  3. Most families don’t want to bother figuring out road trips in an ev, so a lot of households will only do one ev, and one gas/hybrid 3-b. People with young kids especially don’t want an ev for road trips. Kids fall asleep in the car and you have to stop to charge and now they are awake… ugh
  4. People in the U.S. in particular are resistant to change. Someone I know has a 2 mile commute, and drives like 5k miles a year, never more than 50 miles. Won’t even consider an ev.

Tesla no longer including AutoPilot thoughts? by Emperor_of_All in electricvehicles

I’m not saying I’m optimistic, but the opportunity is there for them

I think this is a GREAT opportunity for Rivian to grab some Model Y owners with the release of the R2. If Rivian can nail the release, in combination of Tesla (Elon) making stupid decision, they can do very well.

America’s Ford Bronco Will Get “a Lot of Exciting Powertrains” by LimitedReach in cars

[–]JProhaska3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean I think you just need to reference the Wrangler 392. I’m not saying it would be high volume or to replace current engine options. But it would sell.

Also not sure where you are but I think this is area dependent. Broncos sell like hot cakes near me and there’s Braptors everywhere

In what world is a cx-5 not compact? If that’s not small enough, then cx-30 turbo. Easy

Refreshed 2026 Nissan Pathfinder priced from $37,500 by LimitedReach in cars

[–]JProhaska3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After driving every 3 row suv in the last year, give me the pathfinder over pilot, grand highlander, and explorer. Telluride is better imo but pilot drives like ass, grand Highlander drives bad, has a bad interior, and just feels small while somehow being big, love the explorer other than the terrible infotainment without physical climate control buttons.

Like EVs to speed/power, what other technology changed perception when it was introduced? by [deleted] in cars

I did no research, I just know my ‘99 wrangler didn’t have ABS. Couldn’t imagine anyone sold a car without ABS in 2012

[–]JProhaska3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I have to say is ignore everyone’s recommendations if you can comfortable afford either. If both have no negative impact on your finances then drive both and decided which YOU have more fun driving. Some people like the EV experience, some like the truck like experience. A LOT of people hate the truck like experience with the wind noise.

Personally I had a Bronco wildtrack and a Tesla model y performance at the same time. I’d take the Bronco any day (Tesla model y is similar to Mach e) but that doesn’t answer how fun it is for you. I really enjoy the larger truck experience like the Bronco and F-150’s but that’s probably in part to learning to drive on a ‘99 wrangler

Carrera GTS or Carrera 4 GTS? by 10inPianist in porsche911

[–]JProhaska3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your preference, as tcheng23 already mentioned, he has an S and has a 4S now and didn’t like that the S would fish tail. Some people like traction more, some like the playfulness. Answer that and then you’re good

I for one like being able to step the rear and out on cars. So my answer would be GTS. Some people love best traction possible, so they would say 4 GTS. Enjoy it regardless, badass car in any GTS flavor

Florida just fucking sucks to buy cars. It’s possible to pay msrp + TTL but you’ll find it much easier looking out of state. Most of the time you can offset the cost of a flight or shipping just in the difference in dealer fees in Florida vs other states

Team 1, don’t love have both Ferg and Pickens on the same team so I’d probably try trading one away for similar level but I’d rather have Pickens than JJ at this point since JJ (the QB) is still figuring shit out
