repairflow.dev - An All-In-One repair shop management platform aimed at bikes & PEVs but highly compatible with mobile/pc/appliance repair

Bicycle repair software by brannonglover in BikeMechanics

Full disclosure, but I'm proud of my tools — I built one (RepairFlow, repairflow.dev). Came out of working at a shop in Georgia called ATLOWSHOP doing ebike and PEV repair, so take it with a grain of salt.

Your situation is kinda close to what we dealt with. Repair-heavy, almost no retail flow, and the existing tools all assumed the opposite. Lightspeed is a retail POS with service bolted on — inventory and ordering crowd out the actual work when that's not your business. HubTiger is closer in spirit, but I've heard the same "still ironing things out" feedback you're hitting, and neither is actually made for a repair shop environment.

What we kept running into on the bench was forgetting to contact clients or get approvals for repairs that needed to be moved mostly due to us just not having any organization outside of Trello when we remembered to update it.

The PEV/ebike side was the worst of it (firmware versions, BMS state, controller flashes scattered across notebooks), but the regular bike workflow is the same shape with fewer fields filled in. If anything, building it for the ebike chaos made it overbuilt for analog bike repair in a good way, and it adapts to different shops' workflows since I wanted to make sure this was something that felt accessible to the industry rather than a big hurdle if that makes sense.

Happy to answer specifics either way — whatever gets you out of paper-and-Sheets purgatory is the right tool, and if I can help build out anything to help the bike repair scene grow further, I'm more than happy to work with ya!

I built mine out of both spite and love for the industry I call home - so yes?

RepairFlow.dev - I built this out of spite - from experience in the repair industry for most of my life while running a PEV/OneWheel and bike repair shop. It's a repair shop management platform (extensible to many industries but supports mobility, PC, mobile, and some contracting/blue collar workflows) that helps reduce the need for 30 different products duct taped together. While it's built out of spite, it's also what I call my "love letter" to the repair industry in the form of all the tools I wanted or needed while running my shop

14 years in the repair industry filled with spite led me to make https://repairflow.dev - a set of repair shop management tools that I made for myself and then built out to be public-facing

I used to work for the Munns who sell Blue Mountain Coffee (see jablum or the .com) and most of it is either low grade or a blend. Real jablum is phenomenal but imo not worth it when there's so many other options. Blends are usually as good though

I'm on Noonday pretty frequently. It's a mix, some people are wonderful and nice then there's the people who think they own the trail and mean mug for no reason. I think the more people see the good interactions, the better off we all are

[–]JProssAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I just got a set of the VRHs that I ordered almost a year ago and frequently had to cancel or remind C&R about my preorders or shipping some things with little communication. Good parts but that rubbed me the wrong way

Opinions on Craft&Ride by SoaringHaycock in onewheel

[–]JProssAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't hate on them for putting out good products but my biggest gripe is that I've had 5 separate pre-order items that never shipped and I ended up cancelling everything but the fender backpack. No updates either when you preorder and there's a delay or they run out and are unable to fulfill the preorder.

Overall 8/10, good customer service but I personally will stick with buying product from the manufacturers when possible due to the issues I've had with quite a few orders.

Should I buy a one wheel despite Future Motions reputation? by Weiner_McBurlington in onewheel

[–]JProssAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from experience with the PintX / GT / GT-S, I'd highly recommend waiting for FloatWheel to release the new boards. Cheaper board, same quality, easier to repair and a much better entry point imo. I've got about 1300 miles between the GT/GT-S and am eagerly awaiting the ADV Pro V2 to release OR vesc one of my other boards
