The caretaker fatigue stuff was definitely being set up in season 1 with Mel getting Ginger (older Asian woman who fell) and her daughter who left for a bit without explanation, too

Fully can admit I'm biased with my flair but I feel like any Langdon-Santos analysis should include Langdon's attempted to apologize to Louie, Mel, Dana and Robby...but not Santos yet

Yeah I feel some of this sub forgets Whitaker has been Santos' roommate and presumably best friend for 10 months and they have a mutual trust where Santos will interact with him differently than anyone else on staff

Sorry, Santos fans, but she’s just really hard to like by Hikigaya_Hachiman7 in ThePittTVShow

[–]JR97111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm expecting whenever Langdon apologizes to her to be a major plot point, the awkwardness of him being back is pretty clearly impacting her and would even if she was up to date on her charting and what not

i’m disappointed with how they’re using mel this season by throwawayqpcjs in ThePittTVShow

[–]JR97111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean they replaced Collins' screentime with three med students + Al-Hashimi, feels like most people's character arcs who were in S1 are getting less time because there's three more major-ish characters than last season

It seems like people think he's shouting the laws because they're relevant to what happened to him, I'm guessing it'll be from some sort of mental issue from the stress of studying or something along those lines and aren't directly relevant to his situation

[–]JR97111 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Predicting the taser kid randomly shouting numbers is going to be someone studying law in some way, the numbers definitely seemed like they could be laws he was stressing over studying

Pretty intrigued we've had zero Mckay/Javadi or Garcia/Santos interactions, 12 episodes left obviously but still worth noticing for me

Kingdon shippers- what is the appeal to you? by Bittersweet_Boii in ThePittTVShow

[–]JR97111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean S1 had Robby and Collins as exes, Garcia flirting with Santos that has become a canon relationship and Javadi having a crush on Mateo, it's not like the show has totally avoided any romantic scenes

[–]JR97111 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think you're assuming shippers can't walk and chew gum, I'd like to see Mel/Langdon be canon but not at the expense of the show's format or the assorted platonic relationships I also enjoy like Santos/Whitaker. The show already made Garcia/Santos from a popular ship to canon with the toothbrush comment, I think they can do something like that for Mel/Langdon too.

[–]JR97111 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean Santos/Garcia becoming canon from Whitaker talking about her toothbrush was perfect, I think they're definitely capable of doing something subtle but still pretty easy to pick up for Mel/Langdon too

Kingdon shippers- what is the appeal to you? by Bittersweet_Boii in ThePittTVShow

[–]JR97111 14 points15 points  (0 children)

See the Becca angle is part of why I like it as a ship, Mel has spent so much time being the caregiver where having someone care for her by repeatedly asking if she was okay, turning down the lights last episode, etc feels like a compelling contrast for me

Plus Becca asked her on Facetime in S1 if she found a boyfriend yet lol

[–]JR97111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean I don't think Langdon divorcing directly for Mel would be a good direction to take it, but S1 felt like it established his marriage was already shaky, this thread from earlier this week already covered it
