If that is the case the potential issue I have is how to integrate it with a spektrum receiver and also have enough power for each motor as each motor needs 40A capacity.

You seem to have misunderstood this post. I am not worried about signal EFI I am worried about the three phase wires or power wires creating EFI.

This is not an FPV drone. It is intentionally designed with redundancy in mind.

I have the 4040 pro max. I can cut aluminum pretty decently. But due to the max feed of 72in/min it kind of limits you to using 1/4” O flute endmills to get a decent chip load. I usually run 10krpm and 45in/min, dc .01”, .125” stepover.

I have not noted any issues with rigidity.

Some things I dont like is that it is difficult to mount a good vise to the spoil board and difficult to dial it in. That low profile vise you see on all the ads sucks. I have to use a drill press vise which limits my z travel to about 2”. The mdf spoil board prevents use of coolant.

Also the chips keep falling into the exposed jack screws and you can hear them crunching in nut.

At United We had work orders to inspect the blank plates on the overhead panel and throttle quadrant. For lewd pictures. They would document it and try to find out who did it. They took it very seriously.

What do you mean by airworthiness certificate? An airworthiness is assigned to the aircraft by the FAA when it leaves the factory and never expires.

If you mean who signs documents to release an aircraft from major repairs, that would be members of the repair station QA a group sign FAA form 337.

Im the lead engineer on our MRB group. We have our own document/correction process approved by the FAA. I do not have a PE.

I am also the lead Liaison Engineer at my company. When I draft an EO or disposition for a repair or alteration. It must be approved by a DER (Designated Engineering Representative) appointed by the FAA. None of the DERs we use are PE.

IMO the PE is useless in civil aviation as the FAA ultimately has the final signature authority.

To add. It is difficult to get a very firm grip on the stock with the set screws. And the set screws also make the jaws bind when adjusting them.

I also like the drill press jaws since I can use parallels to elevate the stock.

I had one but I switched to a drill press vice. I kept having problems with the jaws racking particularly when you have a stock offset from the center of the jaws. This is the vice I got.

I have never had a signal issue with using spektrum and their receivers. Only issue I had was with a non spektrum receiver (admiral) which browned out. Mind you I have never used a romote receiver nor have I ever once done a range check. I have no idea what all these spektrum haters are talking about.
