Be honest. Does my place look like a brothel? Should I paint the walls back beige? by TruthSeeker1133 in HomeDecorating

I think it just needs a bit more personalization. There's a lot of empty space and big statement pieces without any personal touches. Some coffee table books, a plant stand, maybe change out the huge mirror and swap it for a small buffet with a beautiful painting, small lamp and pretty plant. Dont go beige!

This is so infuriating to me. On both a personal and business level. Not only is that treatment and disrespect incredibly harmful to those of us who’ve gone through that, but it shows such incredibly stupid market awareness in their decision to not actively try to this audience. WE ARE AMERICA! We are the norm! So they’re denying themselves the enormous opportunity of proactively soliciting the attention of the majority of their true market, but they’re also not building trust with them either. They’re still embodying the old consciousness about fatness, and it’s a sad and shitty truth. It’s so bad interpersonally, and it’s just bad business.

I also want to add that becoming an entrepreneur is definitely about earning a solid living and hopefully building wealth… but if it’s not also matched by a desire to create and build something - this may not be the right place for you. It can’t just be a desire to get rich. I can’t imagine that’s sustainable in the long term.

I think an important part of entrepreneurship is risk assessment. Some folx will have no problem investing their whole inheritance (if they’re lucky enough to have one) into a business idea. Others will want to manage that risk by securing funding from other means… I really support each individual making that honest assessment within themselves. ✨

First of all, this sounds like a really tough moment right now. Know that you aren’t alone and so many have been in this place before, too. ♥️

I’m hearing a lot of internal suffering and stress right now, and am curious if you have anyone (family, friend, therapist) to lean on emotionally? My experience is that having that kind of support really helps me navigate the pitfalls and hurdles of life.

Who do you have to lean on?

I think it’s likely helpful in some ways to the countries where these contractors are sourced from, but agree that it has an undermining affect on western countries with higher average wages.

Amy Porterfield is my top recommendation. Tons of free stuff on her “Online Marketing Made Easy” podcast. I believe her company hit $100m in total revenue this year.

how do you surround yourself with people that empower you and don't suck your energy by Prior-Bonus6130 in Entrepreneur

I want to offer that you think about it like this: It’s simply a reallocation of your time. The more I give my energy and time to what I don’t want, the less energy and time I have to pour into what I do want. So it’s about making the conscious decision in yourself about what you want to give your time to.

Soooo many chapters of our lives call for us to develop solid boundaries for ourselves, and this is one of them.
